Not sure if it's the "best" since the UYI's, but it's definitely up there. A great album...          rock2

I don't know, i don't know a rock album which might be better but i can't really believe that it might be the best since the Illusions...

my fave song out of that album is "Black"...

"I know someday you'll have a beautiful live, i know you'll be a sun, in somebody else's sky, but why why why can't it be, can't it be mine..." i can relate...

Pearl Jam have made at least 4 records that are much better than Ten.

i think pearl jam are awful...eddie vedder is just a third rate neil young, who wasn't any good anyway (neil that is), its so middle of the road, i find it horrendous...

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Lol is there any music you actully like?

No. The best album since UYI is one of the following

PJ - Vs

Darkness - Permission To Land

Smashink Pumpkins - Siamese Dream

Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine

RHCP - Calfirornication

Greenday - American Idiot (I know, it's popular, which is why everyone hates it right now, but trust me, history will remember it)

If the choice was based on my own personal opinion, rather than general consesus, I'd add the following

Kyuss - Blues For The Red Sun

Alice In Chains - Dirt

Limp Bizkit - Significant Other

SOAD - Toxicity

Slipknot - Vol 3

(these last 3 aren't going to be popular with you guys, since nu metal is hardly in vogue right now, but pretending that there weren't some era defining albums during that period is ridiculous)

Pearl Jam - Yield

Please tell me you're not one of those who also thinks AFD was one of GNR's weaker albums...

No, I'm one of those people who thinks Ten was one of PJ's weaker albums...

Vitalogy, No Code, Yield and Vs are, IMO, vastly superior. I like Ten fine, but they didn't hit their stride until Vitalogy. That record is their masterpiece.

Besides Guns N' Roses, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper come to mind.

Judas Priest is also an incredible band.

For the '90s, the Smashing Pumpkins had several good albums that at least came close to the quality of the UYI albums.
