I like both, but Motley Crue is my second favorite band. I saw them live this year (the show that just got released on DVD from Michigan), and it was phenomenal. And for those people who think they are only defined by Dr. Feelgood (which half the songs are really good, but sort of "pop," and half the songs are bad), listen to Shout at the Devil, which to me is very close to Appetite as my favorite album. Tommy is a wizard on drums, Nikki is a good bassist who writes great songs, Mick Mars is awesome and very underrated on guitar, and Vince, well, if there's a weak link, it's him. He still gets the job done on the albums though. Metallica is a great band, but I like Crue better.

Hmm, I'm much more of a metal fan, metallica are ok, but i never really could get into their music, crue wins by a mile for me.

does it really matter if they are pop or not? You shouldnt dislike a band depending on genre

Tommy lee is one of the greatest rock n roll drummers of all time. He is a god at what he does.

I picked null vote.. Motley crue we're always good, i enjoyed all their albums, even their self titled album with john corabi which was excellent, as well as generation swine.

But metallica are metallica; greatest metal band of the 80's; albums like and justice for all, master of puppets, ride the lightning are fucking awsome albums, and better than any other crue album.

However i've been listening to Motley crue sine i was a baby, and they have influenced me the most ... but i cant decide so null vote !
