November_rain
Last night I was with my cousins at a Christmas dinner and we were discussing about who was the best female singer right now. One of them thinks it´s Anastacia, the other Mariah Carey and I think it´s Whitney Houston. She´s always been the best female voice IMO although some of her songs suck. So, what´s your opinion? bucket13
Idk I always thought that Whitney Houston had a strong and powerful voice...Mariah used to have an amazing voice but she overdid her whistle voice (those like tea-pot notes) and so that kinda fucked up her voice a lil (its really scratchy and squeaky now)...idk :krider:

Chrisi Rokks
Clare Torry<{POST_SNAPBACK}>The girl who did Great Gig In The Sky right? She's fuckin awsome anyhow. I love Tracy Chapmans voice. It isn't the best, but it's so unique. It's great
November_rain
And what about Celine Dion or Tina Turner?
Streetchild
Elan, she has some real emotions in her voice, and I love her songs too. I also love Bonnie Raitt.
kevdo242
Did Tina Turner sing in The Who's Tommy? I can't remember if it was her or not.
Angelica
Of this era, Housten and Carey. But Fiona Apple has an amazing voice and actually creates amazing music, if we were nominating the *best female artist*, she'd own it.
darkstar_legend
Michael Jackson?Seriously though, I'd go for Dido.
Angelica
And what about Celine Dion or Tina Turner?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I cannot abide Celine. All technique (and schmaltz), no soul. Tina is a legend, though.

Roses
Alanis Morissette in terms of angst.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yeah, I like the passionate way that she sings. But when she's not shouting or singing loudly, I find her quiet singing a bit...annoying and gurgly sounding... :confused2:
twoj3j89
I think Jordis Unga has the best female voice i've heard in years, since Linda Perry from 4 Non Blondes.
