darknemus
http://entertainment.excite.com/celebgossi..._12_2006_3.htmlHere's the text of the story:MUSICAL BRIBESTEREO nightclub owners Barry Mullineaux and Mike Satsky were closing up their Chelsea hotspot at 5:30 a.m. the other morning when they encountered elusive Guns 'N' Roses frontman Axl Rose at the front door. The braided rocker was with bandmates and a bevy of beauties wanting to keep his 44th birthday bash going. Rose was so eager to get inside the club that he offered the owners a little bribe - an exclusive listening party for his yet-to-be released album, "Chinese Democracy." Axl dispatched his driver to retrieve the unreleased CD and the owners proceeded to play host, bartender and DJ to the posse till 8 a.m.-darknemus
Spoon87
didn't that "happen" before? If the reactions weren't good, the album will be delayed for another 300 years. great.
erose
this is cool man, i hope we´ll get to hear it soon to... it´s only natural tho to play the disc for the bandmembers before the release, anything else would be odd...i´m guessing we´ll hear some awsome news within the next week or so.. darknemus
Perhaps someone with the right press connections can give the club a call and get a statement? I mean, the two owners names are right there in the article. Heck, even just a blanket denial or admittance to the story would be more than we have at the moment. If it did happen, its already apparent someone's talking about it - because otherwise, there'd be no article written.-darknemus

Rick
I don't really beleive in this. Doesn't look like a realiable source to me.The story originated in the New York Post (on the gossip page), Madison is probably the best person to talk about how reliable that publication is.http://www.nypost.com/gossip/gossip.htmR. Rick
Chelsea fave destination Coral Room may have gone away, but in its space, Stereo has been reborn. Gone is the lush aquatic theme, and Stereo takes you back to the heady days of Old School Rap & Hip Hop in the early 80s. With celebrity DJs like DJ AM and Mark Ronson behind the wheels of steel, expect the cream of New York nightlife to pack Stereo to the rafters. http://blog.joonbug.com/new_york/2005/11/n...enue_openi.htmlThat the place?R. W. Axl Kev
So Axl turned up and let the club play Chinese Democracy. Which he happened to have on him. Hmm interesting story. Per usual... the plot thickens.
busngabb
If it is true we will soon know as people will flock onto the messageboards with information about the songs they played and how they were received. People also own modern mobile phones with camera, videos and sound recorders.I would bet that if this is true, a poorly recorded IRS-esque recording will be on the tinterweb before sundown.
