kevin
The Unstoppable Flying RaincoatsWoah they're very different than what I'm used to hearing here. They're allright though .
adnan
The best half successful band from Calgary is WADE, they're a heavily britpop influenced, and the guitarist grew up on Weezer and AC/DC so you can hear that influence too, but overall it's classic prog rock with britpop influence.http://wademusic.ca/If you click on music, you can listen to the whole album, it's awesome. I love Falconhawk as well from Calgary, they're purely pop, but they're immensely enjoyable and have a kickass live show, they've got an EP and LP out already:http://www.falconhawk.ca/, and here's my favorite song by them: Wonderful- FalconHawk Edited August 10, 2006 by adnan

They've already made a CD with 11 songs, but only have 2 (3 if you count the vid) songs on there. And there's these guysConsinity. These guys rock. They're music on the myspace is meh, but live, they OWN. Everyone in the band is really talented.

Yamisonic
No uploads, sorryThe biggest band here is Libido. They've got huge success all across Latin America, and they've got quite a few Latin MTV #1's. "Tres" is widely regarded as one of the best rock songs in any language, ever, download it if you can. Also we've got Mar De Copas and Zen. Mar De Copas' greatest song is "Mujer Noche", and Zen's greatest song is "Desaparecer". I think the salsa band Dan Den, that made the mega-hit Por Telefono No, are from Peru as well. And you've got Los Claxon, my brother's band, that you people got into the #2 spot of "Best New Bands" by voting online, without even hearing a song from them
Zint
RazorThey are from Southwestern Ontario. If you REALLY know metal history...you've heard of these guys! And they're coming back!!!I first saw this band in 1984 and on stage they fuckin blew every fucking hairband emerging (or soon to emerge) off the face of the planet.A cool thing about this band was the punk/metal community crossover...there were fans on both sides of the fence...which was great to see!Me and some friends had tickets to see Venom,Slayer and Razor in Toronto, but there was an ice storm (in my hometown of London Ontario) and all trains buses etc. were haulted...we were SO pissed!anyway...here's the linkRazor Edited January 4, 2007 by zint61
Zint
If you read the bio of Razor on that page, you'll see a mention about a band in London Ontario called SFH.The singer /guitarist of SFH (Bob Reid) went on to sing for Razor for a few years.I was part of London Ontario's music scene in the 80's and SFH did some gigs with my band (they were fucking great!).I partied with Bob a lot and he's a great guy...a metalhead through and through, but he LOVED my band (which was more in the punk vein).Bob's back...with a fucking GREAT band hailing out of London Ontario called Bobnoxious.I'm not into spamming and flooding boards about bands,so this feels kinda weird to me...but,I'm just going with the thread topic.anyway..if you ever see these guys advertised in your city...go see 'em...you'll have a great beer drinkin' night out...guaranteed!here's a link to the bandBobnoxious Edited August 11, 2006 by zint61
