  1. Saw them in Dec. In Brighton. They were really good and it was super fun. Go for it!
  2. They're a force to be reckoned with at the reduced section in Tesco. Fuckin' ninja skills! 👀
  3. Ok, so... a colonist (Canada) living in the UK for a year now. Naturally, some observations have been made. 😜 example... Women 70 + have a demeanor like they're heading down the pub for a punch up. I'm sure there are few Grans that are the exception, but for the most part... fuckin' watch yourself mate. 🤣
  4. Jonathan Frid (Barnabas Collins) was from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.... just down the road a bit from where I used to live.
  5. Hugh Cornwell ( ex Stranglers) in a couple of weeks. Just scored The Who with guests Squeeze at Royal Albert Hall in March. First row stalls, rather prime seating.
  6. Watching the old Gothic soap Dark Shadows on Tubi. It's quite a hoot. Vampires, Werewolves and Ghosts... oh my!
  7. Hugh Cornwell ( ex Stranglers) in a couple of weeks.
  8. Yeah struck out with the first two shows, sold out in nanoseconds, but was online when the third show was announced and managed to score. Killer reviews of the first two Cart shows. I'm stoked..haven't seen them. Been to the Cart a few times... cool place. Might be ending up with a spare ticket. 😬
  9. MADNESS and Lightning Seeds in Brighton tonight.
  10. Steve Harris (with British Lion) at the pub where Iron Maiden first got started.

    New Beatles Song

No thread yet?? Ok... Ummmm..... Well for me, personally, I'm underwhelmed by it. It sounds like a Househusband John - era solo song featuring guest appearances by Paul, Ringo and George. Like, at best, it could have been the b side to the Starting Over single in 1980? This isn't "The Beatles" to me, somehow. I'll put it this way.... If under different circumstances the four of them had proper got back together to record, this track most likely wouldn't have made it past a noodle around throw away track. It didn't make the cut for Double Fantasy did it. Frankly, what I'm hearing is what I was expecting. But hey, if people are digging it and it's bringing a bit of happiness, I think John would have been good with that ( and maybe George, lol, I've read he wasn't that keen on it at the time). Interested to hear what others think of it.
  12. Malt vinegar is the way to go..
  13. I've actually had a curry sauce dip with fish n chips since moving to the UK. THAT I can live with, didn't mind it at all.
  14. Wut?? I'll take that over mushy peas any day! 😬
  15. It's the most consistently good album since Some Girls ( in my opinion). This is a great rock n roll album and if it's their last one they've gone out with a snarl. Anyone who's ever cracked a steel wheelchairs joke can suck it. This is a solid release and they're 80 years old. 80 fucking years old!. Let's see what you're doing at 80. I'm very proud of them.
  16. The new song fucking slays. Going to try to make it up to London next March for the concert. I haven't seen them since '91 in Toronto ( which, at the time, was Halford's last show with the band)... he also wiped out the motorbike when he rode it on stage.
