sweetness
Steven Tyler better be more well known that Kurt Kobain, and no Bon Scott?
Malicious Matt
the general public...13.Sid ViciousI'm not sure how many people in the general public know who that is. And I think Eddie Vedder deserves a spot up there too. Edited September 4, 2006 by Malicious Matt

As for the other two spots, you could probably interchange any of the other 12 and have a decent list. Although i think Sid Vicious and Liam Gallagher aren't in the same league in terms of how well they're recognised. I think that Brian May and Bono are probably the most well known out of that 2nd list. So Axl could just about make it.

bax
Tough question. If Axl had consistently been putting out good material all this time the answer might be yes, but as it is I would have to say no.
Chrisi Rokks
In all honesty i'd say the top 5 should be (in no order...)Ozzy OsbourneFreddy MercuryElvis PresleyJohn LennonKurt CobainWhy? Ozzy is on MTV and the rest are all dead. Simple. And as for the younger generation...that means more to people some how. People love Cobain. Fuck knows why. Maybe i should kill myself and see how much my popularity grows...and don't be immature and egg me on Edited September 5, 2006 by Crash Diet
