metallic ko
Wow, I just love this album. I could marry it. I like EVERY song on this album, particularly I'm Waiting for the Man, Herion, Venus in Furs & There She Goes Again. I don't usually like female vocals, but I enjoy listening to the songs Nico sings. One of the greatest debuts ever.

(yes i can, in the middle of flower power) theres not a single song on this thats aged even the teensiest bit n Lou Reed is at the top of his game here (hey whiteboy, what'chu doin uptown?). if u haven't seen it n u like this band u should check out Andy Warhols like 20 min bit on this band called oddly enough, the velvet underground, its jus basically 20 mins of them jamming but...its warhol, very conceptual. Roses
Nico's voice is amazing. I love her songs "The Fairest of the Seasons" and "Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams" from her solo album Chelsea Girl. The sound is so deep, meloncholy and unusual.
kool_aid_acid_test
Like this album, Nico's voice fits well into it, as in it's not out of place. My fav tracks are Sunday Morning, Venus In Furs, Femme Fatale and Heroin.

metallic ko
check out white light, amazing song! later covered by the proffesionalsI think you mean White Light/ White Heat. Great song. Lou Reed performed White Light/ White Heat at this years VMA's with the Raconteurs. 95% of the people there probably didn't know who he was. Here's a link to watch it. I don't think MTV even knows what that song is about. Lou Reed also presented an award at the VMAs for Best Rock Video. You can watch that here. He said MTV should play more Rock N Roll. :krider:

(he was part of a radical organization in the 80's called Direct Action who lived by the code...Talk-Action= 0).They started out small by firebombing porno stores etc. and worked their way up to the more ambitious actual bombing of the Litton plant in Ontario, known for making parts used in cruise missiles...THAT one they got caught for!anyway...back on topic!
