Guest Ohdistortedsmile1789
Everyone talks about "Good Vibrations", "Wouldn't It Be Nice", "God Only Knows", or even "Caroline No", but this song is a real motherfucker. In my opinion this is the greatest piece of music that Brian Wilson's got to his name.
Guest Ohdistortedsmile1789
None of you know this song? Come on. I've made far more obscure threads than this.
Estranged Reality
It's a good song and the lyrics are impressive, but I don't think it's as brilliant as God Only Knows or Wouldn't It Be Nice - the latter of which is purely genius simply because it sounds so poppy and happy while the lyrics are entirely heart-wrenching and bittersweet. That's why I love it so. The other two, of course, are tremendous as well.
DirtyDeeds
I know the song kind of, but I just don't feel I'm a big enough Beach Boys fan to comment. I mean I like 'em (in moderation), but I don't give them enough thought to ponder the complexities of their material and the merits of certain songs. I like it, though, and it's probably one of my favorites.

stevGNR666
i can concur with the meaning.as for best off that album, I'm gonna dig deeper and say Hold Onto Your Ego (A rare bonus track)also fun as is the instrumental title track which, if i'm not mistaken was originally titled "run james run" because it was rejected from a james bond soundtrack or something of that nameI may be wrong, it's been a while since i've tapped that album, and i'm digging deep in the back of my mind at 315 tonight

A good song, but far from the best in my opinion.

bluesy
Good tune. The Beach Boys, no matter how poppy they sound, always seem to depress the shit out of me. It's inescapable. I dunno what it is.

I dunno what it is.I've heard the opposite from some. But I do tend to reach for the Beach Boys in my more destructive moods, so I suppose I agree.
