GET OFF AXLS BACK
Yeah it worked for me, you could also check to make sure the driver for the burner is functioning, in system it will tell you if all the driver you have are uptodate or fucked. santana
Try playing the disk in Windows Media Player. That can help narrow down whether it is a software problem or a hardware problem. Also, what format disk are you using? DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+R DL? The disk type you are using may not be compatible with your burner.
ssiscool
i got several shows on differant formats (DVD+R, DVD-R). i am tring to watch Rock Am Ring which is DVD+R and when in media player it says "No disk in drive" Edited June 21, 2007 by ssiscool
santana
OK, then try a DVD-R in the PC. Use both PowerDVD and Windows Media Player to see if the disk is recognized. How about other types of disks? Audio CD, data CD, data DVD... do those work?If your drive won't access those, then it's probably dying and will need to be replaced. Audio and Data cd's do. what do you mean by data dvds like a pc game for example?Yeah, basically any CD with stored data that isn't a regular audio CD.If DVD disks aren't playing but everything else is normal, I would suspect that there is a faulty device driver somewhere on your computer.Have you recently installed a new drive and/or burning software or DVD decoder software? When you run it, it will tell you what drive and firmware version you have. Then, go back to the first link the one that lists all the drives by manufacturer, and find the correct drive.Download the firmware files, and flash your drive. There should be a guide for this on the main page of the website.
