I guess she felt the need to "spice up" her career; and hey, it worked. There are some decent songs on that new album of hers, but the majority of it is just generic contemporary hip-hop/r&b crap. Just another case of pouncing on what's hot and using sex to sell goodies to the kids.

honestly, i had NO IDEA she sang Promiscuous until one of my friends told me about a month or 2 after it was released, and i just couldnt believe it. it's sad how musicians now adays cant be who they want to be, and have to listen to their label

She's from my hometown of Victoria, B.C., so good on her for selling out for fortune and fame. She's a big "Oasis" fan so that's also a big plus.

Nelly's hot now..but anyway..she really wanted to do something that should put her career in some big level.Then,Timbaland produced "Loose"..and she went hip hop style.

And the album is really good in my opinion,some good pop songs like Maneater and Say it Right.

Duran Duran is doing the same now..their new songs sounds like hip hop,the album was produced by Timbaland and Justin timberlake.

I've never liked her work much, but at least I somewhat respected her integrity as an artist while it was still about making music rather than shaking her assets. I was actually quite shocked when I first came across the music video for Promiscuous, but oh well, she's still got a couple of danceable tunes, I'm sure; Maneater comes to mind.
