  1. Matt Sorum ...err, "Baron Von Storm" I mean, is talking out of his ass, as usual.

I don't see what it matters in this particular case, though. Who knows what he thinks he might have heard or not heard. But I agree that it would be nice if he just kept his mouth shut in general. :tongue2:

  2. ...I'm sure people have shown up to VR concerts dressed as Axl. I don't think any of them care.

Out of curiosity - would someone post a pic of this in the VR section perhaps and then PM me?

not quite the same but Scott and Slash dressed up as Axl and Buckethead for halloween one year at a concert

Haha! Is this really true? Which year was it?

Yep, very true. It was in 2004. There are some more pictures of them onstage in the constumes floating around as well.

  3. i actually had a conversation with that woman at the atlanta show and had no idea it was Erin!

    What did she say?

Don't laugh, but while standing in line for a drink...Erin and I talked about the weather (literally) and the bad traffic in Atlanta. Then I asked if she was worried that Axl wouldn't show up, she smiled and laughed then replied that there is always that chance. I had no idea (at the time) that it was Erin. I just knew she looked really familiar. We started to walk away and she touched my arm and said have fun.

    Cool, thanks!

  4. Where did that picture first appear anyway??

I just did some stalkerish facebook digging and found her real profile (you won't find her if you just type her name into the search), but she has all her settings set to private, so unless you're friends with her you won't see anything. I'm guessing she posted the picture on her facebook and one of her fb friends must have leaked it...

  5. Angelica said in the Atlanta update thread that Erin posted that pic on her facebook, so I guess it's true.

It's certainly interesting. I wonder if Axl knew...

(and I'm so amused by the guy dressed up as Slash in the background :D )

  6. Thanks again, Coma.

To stay on topic, I've noticed Tommy looking decidedly worse as well, but he might just be showing his age for all I know (combined with the stress of touring or whatever).

I think there's nothing wrong with fans showing concern, though. It might give him somthing to think about (should he really have a problem), before he finds himself in the hospital with an exploded pancreas :tongue2:

  7. Holy crap, that's one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen. The poor mom.

As for the person who first brought this guy up as a possibility here, you've probably read it on this forum, because I remember someone guessing this guy to be the one that Duff beat up in another thread here. And it was nothing but a guess there as well, but... judging by the video above... yeah, I could see it :scared:

  8. I agree with the poeple saying that the threat of Axl not going on stage might very well have been something implied by Doug Goldstein and whoever else was there without Axl even knowing about it (since Axl supposedly wasn't even present when Slash and Duff signed the papers).

That way, neither Axl nor Slash and Duff would be lying. Axl never threatened to pull a no-show since it was just something Goldstein made up to better pressure Slash and Duff into the whole thing and Slash and Duff just assumed it was all Axl's doing.

If true, I can understand Slash and Duff's disdain for their old management. What a shitty thing to do.

  9. Take a look at the comments

I was one of the cna's that helped care for Anna when she lived at Heritage Woods of Manteno. She was so proud of the gold and platinum albums encased in frames, that hung on her walls, that was from Axl when he was with Guns & Roses. When Anna first moved to Heritage Woods, Axl sent a monthly fruit basket to her, but then they stopped coming. I even tried searching the internet to find any contact of his, for him to please come see Anna. But no luck. She beamed when she talked of him. She raised him until he was old enough and he wanted to hit the road to get a band together. What a band it was!!! I asked how long it had been since she had seen Axl, and at that time, it had been at least 6 years she said. Axl...you missed the last years of the woman who loved and raised you. All of us cna's will remember her and seeing Axl's last CD sitting on her table. I hope Axl at least took a minute to remember what Anna did for him , and said a prayer..oh wait..he probably sent a fruit basket!

Yes, I saw that, too. If it's true, it shows he probably did/does care. So I'm just gonna say I'm sorry for his loss and he has my condolences, but everything else is really none of our business.

  10. The article has obvious tone to it, which is meant to be negative towards both Slash and Axl.

I agree, the article definitely has a negative tone to it and you can tell by the readers' comments that it had the intended effect.

I'm wondering if any of these commenters even watched the video, because all I see is Axl being nice and friendly with some fans and telling a funny story about Slash in a fond, reminiscing way. Some people really try their hardest to twist everything he does and says into further proof of what a douchebag Axl must be.

  11. I don't like that article, do we really know what of that stuff written there is fact, and not made up my Mick Wall?

Many of the things said in the article are known for years.

Exactly. Everything in that article has been written ten times before, I didn't see anything new and interesting in it. Mick Wall (who seemingly still holds a grudge against Axl) is just rehashing old stories in order to make Axl look bad. :tongue2:

  12. Actually, I think this was quite fair, honest and respectable on Merck's part. He's not ass kissing either 'cause he's fired now anyway and would have nothing to gain by sucking up to Axl.

This could have gone down much worse, so props to Merck for 'taking the high road' :)
