  1. Dylan.

Really? I think he's underrated. Dylan is arguably the best songwriter ever and although he can't sing, his voice suits perfectly his great, great songs. No song can top Like A Rolling Stone, Knockin' On Heaven's Door or Mr. Tambourine Man. Come on, you're almost "obliged" to sing along.

  2. I'm with you on the length. Eventhough most gnr hits are also relatively long it could be a problem. Especailly nowadays. Music channels and radio stations don't seem to like that. MTV being the perfect example.

It depends on the acceptance by the mainstream public. Green Day's Jesus Of Suburbia is 9 minutes long and it's a regular MTV video. So, who knows what will happen?

  3. I don't think it will happen. I don't want to get my hopes too high.

But qhen you think about it, it makes sense. Slash has heard CD. Why in hell wuld he do so? Why would Axl lt him do that? This could indicate they have at least become closer. Or Axl may have realised he can't make GNR alone, as we saw in 2002.

  4. I'm confused. What was RIR libosa rock in rio 4? How the hell does it go? Every year? Every 4 years? How?

the first festival was in81 i think, the second in 91, the third in 2001, the fourth in 2004 and the fifth will be this year

86, 91, 2001, 2004, 2006, and I guess 2008, because the festival is a real success. Since I'm from Portugal, I'm hoping they bring some cool bands so that I can go. GNR, VR, Metallica, some stuff like that. Otherwise, I will put my butt in my sofa and watch on TV if it's worth it.

  5. Don't know if this has been done.

It's just about the voice of both.

Which voice do you think is better?

    I gotta go with Axl.

Please try to be unbiased, even though this is a GNR fan forum

  6. Your friend can like what he/she wants. Don't put tastes down and then force your own.

The question isn't that. Maybe I didn't say it properly. It's not about what he likes best, but about who IS the best.

It's like comparing GNR to Led Zeppelin, Zepp are better, even though I prefer GNR.

  7. Sound obvious to me, Nine Inch Nails kicks My Chemical Romance's ass, but a friend of mine came up with this idea that MCR was better than NIN. We even argued, and he stood with that. Is it possible that someone can say something like this?

  8. My mother couldn't really give a shit about GNR. She prefers Rod Stewart and all those pop singers.

On the opposite, my father likes GNR very much. In fact, he was the one who introduced GNR to me, by playing Civil War real loud once, in a car. He absolutely loves the Illusions and Lies, and likes AFD.

When I say my favorite band, for example, at school, people are like "Who?". Hip hop influence.

Others say "Uh, Nirvan was so much better than those guys". I even had an argument with a friend of mine about which was better, GNR or Nirvana. Of course, I won :D

One of my best friends likes the band, especially AFD and UYI 2. We used to talk about GNR a lot, but not that much anymore, since he told me My Chemical Romance was better than VR. Stupid fucker :fuckyou:

Another one of my best friends didn't know anything about GNR when I told her about them. She had heard some parts of songs, but she didn't like. But I think I converted her, the other day she called me and said "I got a GNR DVD for Xmas, it's great, Axl's voice is awesome, SCOM is great". I got only one task left: make her like guitar solos, especially Slash's  She says she doesn't like electric guitar solos that much, but I'm sure she will change her mind <_<
