You sound a little like me when I was 15 in '91. When GN'R were on top of the world and Axl hit the press, I always defended him to my mates and family. As you grow up and learn lessons in life, you realise what a tool he is(as far as personality goes). He is now even more stubborn & arrogant than ever.

Good idea...showing it in a theatre would have just catered to the uber fans. This gives GN'R the opportunity to showcase itself to more people in the best available light. This is one of the best live touring bands on the planet right now.
*senses sarcasm*

Have you heard Steven play Don't Cry? The timing on that song is easy. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Matt, but I don't think that often as to how far Steven came with those albums because when you listen to them I just naturally think it's Matt's work.

oh and KOHD was not recorded with Steven, only on live shows...
I understand that KOHD wasn't recorded with Steven, I just meant songs that were laid out by Steven. Oh yeah, there is Down on the Farm as well.
After listening to these, I had no idea(not that I thought about it that much), but Steven had gone as far as he did with all the other tunes, although obviously if he'd got to the recording stage with Civil War, but I want to take a lot of credit away from Matt now. Steven actually did the hard yards and Matt just came in and played what Steven had laid down, but in his own style. So basically, Matt has done sweet fuck all for GN'R, just recorded what had already been written, toured and then recorded a cover album. I always thought he would have had more input as to how the Illusion tracks were written.
Well oil beef hooked.

Has anyone heard the demos from the Illusion albums?
Being a drummer myself I would love to hear how Steven played on the demos before Matt joined.
Off the top of my head I know I've heard Back off Bitch, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, Don't Cry and obviously Civil War.
Cheers
Is n`t this with Adler
? drums suck by the waySure is Adler, the resting snare on fills is obvious. I wouldn't say the drums suck, I'm assuming they were around the 80% down as a song so fills aren't in stone, but wouldn't have been much of a change in the final mix from Steven.

It'd be on top of the list if the real GN'R got back together.

I do a lot of reading here and skip a lot of bullshit.
I read it all and enjoyed it. Good job.
Although, you mentioned 'fillers'. Why do people think there are fillers in the Illusions? There is only one; My World.

LMAO @ the notion of nuGnR members getting inducted. What kind of bubble do you live in?
Exactly, I just can't understand how these kids think that Axl's band is something. Guns N' Roses in their day were the greatest band in history in my opinion. Axl's coverband is nothing more than a hopeless success.

I put the smilies in there after I read gnrlies post and then your stupid comment beat mine.

The New GNR
in 2002
Kiana, I am a fan of Axl. He is the greatest singer songwriter to walk the planet. As you may read in my other posts, Axl can jam with any band he wants, and can create any sort of music he wants to, but when he says this band is Guns N' Roses, then that is fucked up because it just destroys all hope of a reunion.

Second that. That was perfectly said.
