  1. I think we have only seen the top of the iceberg.

Surely there are 50 songs we don't know of.

The Blues and Madagascar are probably two of the best songs written pre-02.

I think Axl really regrets saying "You haven't seen the big guns yet.."

That's a statement able to postpone a new album on it's own.

It's like a sprinter saying: "I do the 100 metres in 9.75 secs in training every day.

He'd never show up at an athletics event before running at least 9.90.

    Agreed.

Oasis released the Masterplan, which in my opinion is there 4th best album. That was purely B-Sides. This is just an example. But there are many bands which do this.

I think your opinion is a little biased and there are plenty of other bands which have songs laying around that are unreleased which in many peoples eyes would work on an album.

4th best? I'd put it close to, if not at the top (Apart from Definately Maybe) DM is obviously the best album they've done. I think CD could eventually become an album of unreleased material if Axl doesnt release somethin soon.

  2. They are fuckin brilliant! Only seen them live at festivals etc, where they didnt do a full set do to congestion in line ups etc, but they were brillaint.

Employment is not only my fave album of the year, but my fave for a long time. Its a real feel good album, and seein them live, granted when I last saw them they only played for around 30-40 mins, but the crowd didnt stop jumpin. They have an incredible energy and I highly recommend everyone to buy the album and go see them live!

  3. Oasis didnt do too badly when they released "the masterplan". That was a collection of B sides that were never gonna see the light of day, and hsa some of Oasis' best songs. The masterplan in particular is awesome, seriously class.

And I have no doubt that GNR could do exactly the same. I think Crash Diet should be on CD at least, if not released coz its fuckin awesome.

  4. Axl will have some work to do for any promoter in America to work with him! I think Europe will be easier coz they didnt really do a full scale Euro tour last time (02) so there would be more interest. Promoters and fans will want a little bit more reliability from Axl & guns. OK, so cancelations are not Axls fault all the time, but the way the 02 tour collapsed wont inspire too much confidence with promoters who could have a lot to lose.

But, I really do hope they tour. I saw them in Leeds 02, and that was the best concert I have ever been to. Oasis in Manchester was fuckin awesome, but Axl was on top of his game in Leeds and the more nights like that the better.

  5. As well as Axl and Dave Grohl im gonna have Flea on bass... Eddie Van Halen on lead guitar and John Lennon on Rhythm.

    Axl Rose - Vocals

Eddie Van Halen - Lead Guitar

    John Lennon - Rhythm Guitar

    Flea - Bass

    Dave Grohl - Drums

    With....

    Freddie Mercury - Vocals

    Jimi Hendrix - Guitar 1

    Slash - Guitar 2

(They can swap lead & rhythm with each show :) )

    Duff - Bass

    Keith Moon - Drums

.... as the opening act!! Fuck me that would be one quality show. As it would be with any of the bands that have been thought up!

  6. Ok, try not to be too biased, but I would like to know what everybodys ultimate band would be, if you could pick anyone ever, dead or alive, based just on the musical ability and not their "baggage". Try not to be too biased to GNR, BUT Axl would be my choice as lead singer because when he was at his best live, he was untouchable, absolutely mesmerising. I still get goosebumps when I was vids of him in the good old days.

    Anyway, my band would be:

    Axl Rose - Vocals

    Dave Grohl - Drums

    - Lead Guitar

    - Rhythm Guitar

    - Bass

I'm leavin the other 3 open to suggestions coz there are sooo many to choose from.

I hope stuff like this hasnt already been posted, if it has then sorry, I dont post in this section very often.

  7. How hopeful is everyone of there even bein a tour in the future???

Which promoter in ther right mind will book Axl, really??? After the 2002 exploits, theres hardly gonna be a fuckin queue of them waitin, coz he aint reliable enough for them. As much as I hope I'm wrong, if there is gonna be another world tour Axl would have to sign somethin sayin that he WILL DEFINATELY play every show unless physically unable to.

Now im ready for everyone to slate me <_< ... BUT Im just bein realistic.
