  1. listen guys, the original 5 is why i got into the band in 1987, but there sound evolved in the 90,s and just the original 5 playing appetite and lies would not sell out stadiums. I dont believe Izzy would ever want back in full time it be nice if he could come as a guest for a few shows. i like the way the band is now they can play all their albums and having seen them last year in pittsburgh they blew me away how good they sounded, in fact they sounded better last year than when i saw them in pittsburgh in 92 for the gnr metallica show.

This I love has the cheesiest lyrics of any GnR song in history.

Were the crowd reactions louder and stronger for TIL than for other songs?

Not one person has said that SOD was from the Illusions era. But it does sound like it could have been.

Musical taste is all about personal preference.

The croud reaction to TIL were the strongest from any CD in the set, im fine with the lyrics they are simple and heartfelt. i like SOD but i like TIL better

Setlist hope for the night, I hope Axl replaces This I Love with a different ChiDem cut..like Street of Dreams, I.R.S. or If The World

All three have huge potential with the current band

sorry bud This I Love is a staple for the setlist, and the band is doing a great job with it. They have played 6 from CD realy doubt anymore from CD are played

Seriously... Hardly anyone at these shows even knows CD songs and the reception hasn't been that great. It is perplexing why CD songs are the only songs they change up when they are the weakest part of the show.. Sure there is a group of fans that love it but they are by far in the minority. It is a long show, play a couple for those fans but I would guess that 95% of the fans in the stadium could give a rats ass about CD.

I dissagree with you Tom, in Pittsburgh the songs from CD got a good reception especially This I Love. i should know I was there

  6. I like This I Love and having Slash on it makes it even better, FYI This I Love does sound like an old GnR song it is the same style as November Rain, now Better and Chinese are different sounds but i do like what Slash and Duff have done with them. Everyone has there own opinions and taste but Id much rather here the setlist they are playing than a setlist with just appettie stuff, dont get me wrong i love appetite as well but i like the rockers the ballads and the epics thats what make GnR are great band and not a band that just did one great album. The Pittsburgh show was amazing loved every moment of it, and they sounded better than they did in 1992 when i saw them at 3 rivers with Metallica
