  1. Summed up, I don't think it's simply putting out the album that's the problem, but all the bells and whistles that they'll want to go with it that's going to keep the next album in limbo forever.

Spot on, apart from the 'forever' part. We will see another album, I have absolute faith in that.

I think we'll see it too eventually. I'm just not looking forward to another waiting game with all the rumors and constant b.s. that goes along with it...

No one is. Hopefully people will keep their heads screwed on this time.

Agreed. It's just that when Axl spoke about putting out the next album during his chats, I really hoped they'd be able to do it smoothly, with few issues. Like CD's release would usher in a new era of limited bullshit, lol. Now with the constant flow of rumors circulating and Axl remaining tight-lipped on it for going on two years now, it's like 2006 all over again. :shrugs:

I think the first 3-4 months after the tour ends will be very telling in regards to the next album. If we hear literally nothing then I will begin to resign myself to a long wait. I'm still not expecting it till mid to late 2012 though. If it gets to that point with no word I may become rather anxious.

Lets not forget that in the Del interview Axl said the album wasn't even finished so I still think new album talk is a but premature at this point. That doesn't stop me waiting for it with baited breath though.

  4. I think Gunsguy was onto something with the not drowing out of the "Die" with a loud explosion. The band all seem to come in on the explosion which implies they are used to it being in at that point.

But there is always a timing problem with things like that, it can't be helped.

The main issue would probably be making one last check to see that no band members are near the flames. I would much rather have some late pyro than have a band member horribly burned.

  5. I was at the same show and didn't notice anything wrong with them. I think they're fucking awesome regardless, you have to be right down the front/on the barrier to get the full effect, the heat is intense and really adds to the anger in the song.

  6. Highvoltage - Looks like you were shooting from right at the front?.....thats pretty ballsy of you. Are GnR finally relaxing a bit with their camera rules? Were you subtly filming this or what? Cheers for it though!...curious how you managed to pull it off.

GNR's anti recording standpoint (if they even have one) is really is overstated. Axl flipped out once at a guy who had been recording the whole show, now everyone thinks he wants to kick their head in if they dare take out their phone.

  7. Even if this guy is lying his arse off, what he's saying is still quite interesting.

Anyone who straight out believes him should get their examined though.

  8. To add fuel to the fire.

He said this on January 12, 2007:

Axl is now in New York working with Producer / Engineer Caram Costanzo,

Protools Engineer Eric Caudieux and newest member of the production

team Engineer/Assistant Dror Mohar. The team is said to be

on the final stretch and the mixing is due to begin in the begining

    of February.

All of whom besides Dror Mohar appear in the album's booklet. Did we know about the other two before the start of 2007?

  9. Lets be honest, if the guy (assuming it's the same one) can give us lyrics to a song that we hadn't even heard of back in 2007 then that shows he has some connections.

    OR

Axl read that and thought it would make a great lyric.

My bets on the Axl one.

  10. I can see everything on that list happeneing, that doesn't mean I'm expecting it. The only thing I don't think will happen is the band dropping a new song live. I kind of hope they don't to be honest, firstly because I want the next album to be as fresh as possible and secondly I don't want to hear a bootleg and then end up having it as the only new song on my ipod for the next 5 or so years.
