I'd love to hear what you consider high lethality. Because COVID isn't it. Particularly these new bitch ass variants.

I have susceptible family members, I stay away from them if I feel so much as a sniffle. That's all I'm doing. Masks, lockdowns, 15 boosters, fuck off with that shit.

    "COVID is not that lethal"

I don't know how he gets along with women, but it seemed like a pretty specific thing that set him off. At the time there was some confusion about whether fans were allowed to wear Slash t-shirts to nuGNR shows. Madison was one of the people insisting that anyone wearing Slash shirts had to turn them inside-out, or they weren't allowed into the show. Obviously, that pissed Axl off, so after a while he posted that rant.

Yeah it didn't come out of nowhere. As I recall, they'd gone back and forth a couple of times before that post, she was antagonizing, and he snapped. She really did earn it, as I recall.

Fuck that was a fun few nights,

  3. Guns N' Roses had a song on the soundtrack to a Terminator movie 30 years ago. I love that people think doing commercials is somehow at odds with the band's history. They haven't really been "the most dangerous band in the world" since the day the DJ decided to turn over the single and play Sweet Child for the first time. They're a commercial force, and have been for almost my entire lifetime. Just not a big deal to me.

I assume the shit was about to hit the fan imminently and this was the only way to stop the company getting the backlash with all of these allegations. Still crazy though.

”If he’s gone, I’m gone” - that’s what Meltzer and co have claimed Lesnar said as he walked out.

WWE is filing amended financial statements after discovering that Vinny Mac spent $15mil in off-the-books expenses (dollars to donuts those were the hush payments). I expect the Board of Directors got that nailed down last week and gave him the chance to retire or be fired.

You as well - I have tickets to all three Sweden shows and am very grateful. There was no verified fan and they were reasonably priced (not sure if you saw what's been leaking price-wise, but it is noooot pretty).

Not pretty, but I'm comfortable with it. Look at the Stones, the Who, McCartney.... Bruce is still at or below market price for artists of his caliber. I'll miss the old GA lottery system a bit, but for COVID reasons was probably going to go for seats anyway. Fingers crossed for good news tonight.

Bruce is my number one artist and I obviously love Axl. I get that people don't like it, but I can only hear two of my faves together on it.

Bruce is my number one also, and I cannot put into words how desperately I want to hear it that way...... I just can't. Grateful that we now have the Mark Twain Prize performance with Gary Clark Jr. to cleanse my palate at least.

(Good luck with the Verified Fan lottery this week, and may the odds be ever in your favor)

There shouldn't be any doubts about how the vaccines reduce the likelihood of developing severe symptoms. The evidence for this is undeniable.

Of course, for people who are able to fight off the infection with little symptoms, the vaccines makes less sense, but you don't know how you will react to the disease before you get it.

The purpose of a vaccine isn't always to prevent infection. It's to reduce the likelihood of a worst-case scenario, and the COVID vaccines do so at a staggeringly effective rate. Th primary reason this is still considered a "controversial" view is that our public discourse has been poisoned by bad-faith actors who have a vested interest in the general public not properly understanding how this stuff works. It's maddening.

I don’t want to sound like I’m knocking him or anything - it’s very possible that he’s normally a really nice guy. But that was my only real encounter with him and I was not left impressed. That’s all I have to go off of myself.

After the Philly UCAP show, almost every member of the band interacted with fans outside afterward. Bumble was by far the nicest. After being obviously in pain for most of the show and disappearing for chunks of it, he stuck around to talk to everyone until his wife (more than reasonably) forced him to go home around 2:30am. Tommy and Dizzy were wasted and got right in a van. Richard tried….but after talking to like 2 or 3 people left. He tried, I’ll give him that. But it was clearly an effort and he bailed fast.

Most of the tickets for the Dallas/Arlington concert are all pre purchased tickets which means they are hundreds of dollars because brokers bought them all. This is such bull shit. They do have some $60 tickets but no many and not together. Guess I won't be seeing this concert, but I've seen these bands many times, so I really don't care much.

Even though Vince has lost some weight, this from Nikki Sixx, he can't sing well anymore. I've seen the crew many times and fans do most of the singing and from the videos I've seen, Vince is still pointing that mic to the crowd. thank goodness for Mick and Tommy.

Tommy's not even playing most of these shows because of his broken ribs, though Clufetos is a great get to replace him. Honestly I would rather see the Crue wit Corabi than Vince...

Def Leppard are still absurdly great live. I saw them on the co-headline trek with Journey at MSG a few years back and it was sublime. Poison can also still tear it up. Honestly if I were going to go, I'd pick a show that MC were closing, go for Joan and Poison and DefLep, then leave.

Yeah, as I said this morning on Facebook, the hits just keep on coming…

This will have disastrous consequences if you believe keeping religious belief and dictates out of public schools.  And make no mistake this decision will pertain to any and all religions. If the coach had asked students to pray to Allah, you can be sure the court would have thrown out his case.  This is nothing short of a blanket of the Christian variety being wrapped around a nation that was supposedly founded on keeping church and state separate.

Sorry, but I think your country is fucked for the next generation or two.

Without question. And you're absolutely right: it's not about freedom of religion, it's about christian supremacy. For instance, I'm Jewish. Jewish law doesn't just permit, but in fact requires, that a woman seek an abortion if carrying the pregnancy would risk her physical or mental health. In most of the states banning all abortive procedures, those carve-outs are not protected, so these "religiously-based" bans on abortions are in fact prohibiting Jews from freely practicing our religious obligations. there are synagogues filing suits to that effect, but suffice it to say I don't think Coney Barrett or Alito or Roberts or the two sexual predators are going to care.

It's interesting Thomas wants to go after precedents set in the cases of Griswold (birth control), Lawrence (decriminalization of gay sex), and Obergefell (legalization of gay marriage) but doesn't mention anything about Loving v. Virginia, a 1960s case that made interracial marriages legal and declared a constitutional right (despite not being explicitly stated in the constitution).

It's almost as if this old piece of shit bigot has skin in the game with respect to Loving v. Virginia, but could care less about other people's rights.

What an absolute garbage of a human being and justice.  Maybe everyone should have listened to Anita Hill three decades ago.

George H.W. Bush can go fuck himself for that appointment just like his son can go fuck himself for Alito.

And lest we remain too partisan, we should also remember that Clarence Thomas was credibly accused of sexual misconduct during his confirmation hearings. The chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee went out of his way to belittle Anita Hill and ensure Thomas' easy confirmation. Wish it weren't true, but Joe Biden does bear some responsibility for Thomas being on the Court in the first place.

Not many are talking about it, and it certainly causes less immediate pain, harm, and death than Dobbs, but this morning's school prayer case is just as cataclysmic a shift in the Court's thinking. I won't lawyer everyone to death here, but essentially, the Court explicitly overruled the 1971 case Lemon v. Kurtzman, which provided the standard test we used to evaluate government endorsements of religion. That test has been replaced with a standard of ensuring that our laws “accord with history and faithfully reflect the understanding of the Founding Fathers.” It's a radical departure that opens the door for far more state-sanctioned religious indoctrination than has ever been Constitutionally permitted, especially coupled with the school funding decision last week.

Where were upper deck seats $200?

MetLife on the first go-around. They dropped the prices before the shows came around, especially for the second show which they added after the first night sold out very quickly, but I wound up paying about $200 a ticket for upper deck toward the stage.

Since we are at it, let me know when they plan to ban gay and interracial marriage

    :fuckyou:

Clarence Thomas’ concurring opinion today already suggests that they should, and Alito’s first draft of his majority opinion suggested he would. This isn’t hyperbole. It’s their plan. They do not care how many people die, whether by the death penalty, gun violence, or botched abortions. In the last week, they’ve expanded the death penalty, expanded gun rights, and taken away the right to a safe abortion. Good thing we have pro-life family values judges on our court, eh?

He's certainly mellowed in his old age. I think the closest thing to a "rant" in the past decade plus was the intro to You Could Be Mine in Philly in 2012, which was less of a rant and more of an extended "it's nice to be back after all this time, sorry for what happened in 2002." And if he thought young Axl was insufferable, he'd be objectively correct.

I so wonder what Axl thinks of those rants these days. He seems like a million miles away from this mentally and emotionally. Probably would think young Axl is absolutely insufferable.
