I saw a New York Undercover episode where a Criminal who DIDN'T shoot the gun in a fatal shooting was still executed in the Death Penalty. WTF? That episode bothers me to this very second.... If he DIDN'T shoot the gun, meaning he DIDN'T kill the victim, WHY did he still get executed in the Death Penalty?

The Innocence Project is an entire national organization dedicated to appealing convictions for people who are awaiting the death penalty for crimes they didn't commit. If there are that many people who get convicted who didn't do what they're accused of, we shouldn't be executing anyone.

The issue may be something blatantly obvious: there are no strong tracks to carry an album nor is any of the material approachable to the wretched masses. On top of there probably just not being enough completed material with vocals to fit on an album.

I believe that most of the supposed 2.5 albums of material Axl claimed to have in 2006 is accounted for. I doubt all of that material has been finalized. Many of the tracks might sit in limbo for years until someone outside of Axl’s circle is granted permission to be the gatekeeper.

I think it’s a combo of this and a lack of need. Recording is a loss leader at this point, and mostly exists to justify touring. Especially for a legacy act like GNR. A new album isn’t going to meaningfully increase ticket sales, but it will cost millions to make. GNR can tour forever on their name and back catalog without making a new album. Sure, the people checking this dead band’s message birds every day want new music, but Guns put out two new tracks last year and precisely nobody gave a fuck. Why spend millions on an album that’ll get the same reaction, when all the concert-going fans want are Jungle, Sweet Child, and Paradise City anyway?

i met Frank back in 2014 here in my city bs as, was outside the hotel faena were the band was stayed, he was super friendly and chat with all of us IN SPANISH amazing guy, pitman enter the hotel hiding from the fans lol nobody was looking for him anyway such a clown, we wait for axl but he never appear till the very next minute after the show and i was already in "ferro" stadium , one guy tried to sneak into the hotel to meet the band and the security took him away poor dude, i remember asking frank how was too meet axl back in the days and he explaing to me that was WILD

Frank is the most normal person in the band. I actually bumped into him taking NJ Transit into New York City in late 2018 or early 2019. I don't think anyone else in Penn Station even knew who he was, and I didn't want to bug him, but he was just walking through the train station with a backpack, no doubt on his way to a gig while I was heading home from work.

I don't know if you guys noticed, but we are starting to sound like a broken record and to walk in circles within this forum.

We are just obessing over something that's not real.

It's been a longer period between CHI DEM and this "new record" than the period between UYI and CHI DEM. And look how bummed out we are for to recycled songs that are at least subpar if compared to the rest. But at least back them we had something to look for.

As soon as Axl or the band starts to seriously talk about a new album we'll still wait for non less than 3 to 4 years for it to come out.

    There's nothing out there folks!

With that sentence struck through, this post could have been copy pasted from any time in this forum's history, other than like 3-4 months in 2008

see, the problem is, the consensus is shifting and changing over time.

When a change is made, the change is not announced, it is told like it was always the truth, and it is then accepted as the truth until their narrative changes again.

Every side of the spectrum has at one point in time been defended by the scientists. From "totally effective in preventing infection", to "not totally effective in preventing infection" to "not effective in preventing infection, but totally effective in preventing transmission", to "not totally effective in preventing transmission, but totally effective in preventing serious symptoms", and so on, ... and so on..

all of this, everything, has at one point in time over the last few years, been positioned as the "scientific truth"

"the" truth, however, never changes though.

But "the" truth, is a big mystery. I guess, we'll never know the real truth

Sure, "the truth" never changes. Science is an effort to know and understand that truth. Scientists aren't precious about their past conclusions. When evidence proves their previous hypothesis wrong, they understand and accept the facts. Scientists care more about the truth than they do about being right. It's a lesson more of their critics should learn from.

You also seem to be missing a crucial piece of the equation here: viruses evolve and change too. The COVID-19 vaccinations were staggeringly effective at preventing infections and transmissions in the alpha, beta, and gamma variants of the virus. Beginning with the delta variant and especially with the omicron variant and its subvariants, the later generations of COVID-19 were increasingly capable of being contracted and transmitted, even among the vaccinated. Like every antiviral vaccine, COVID vaccines are extremely effective in reducing the severity of all variants of the virus, but until we have omicron specific vaccines this fall, infection and transmission are still possible.

Cnn said the FBI found papers that Trump should have never taken from the White House, so is there enough evidence to arrest him? Who knows? This is Trump we're talking about. He's like Gotti back in the day, but even Gotti finally got caught. He has to pay for his many crimes and not run again in 2024. I want all the Republicans to grow a pair and stop supporting him.

    Let's see how this goes?

He'll end up indicted. The arrest question will hinge on what he did with them. If he sold access to top secret SCI records, you can't offer him a plea deal or let him walk. If it's just lower level handling issues, I doubt he gets more than a fine for the records. The GA probe is a far more significant legal issue for him, and the main takeaway from the document handling situation is that Trump is betting all of his chips on "they won't indict or prosecute a former president," which appears to be a poor choice.

Because Zack broke/injured his leg and needed rest. Apparently RATM does not know the terms "postpone" and "reschedule". When it comes to Europe they only know "cancellation".

It's an insurance issue. Cancelling means fans can get refunds. Postpone means they can't. I don't think it's anything more than that.

Also cancel culture is not real, and absolutely nobody has ever actually been "cancelled." The rest is all bullshit posturing and smoke and mirrors. :headbang:

i wonder if he hate the fans for being raised near them and maybe that could be a jelous thing for a kid with a "father" figure like axl, just thiking

Anything is possible, but I think he's just a guy who was a "normal person" until a rock star gave him some power and he took it and ran with it.

  9. Death is irreversible. Judges, juries, witnesses, prosecutors, and cops make mistakes. There is absolutely no way to be 100% sure of anything. Whether or not the death penalty is appropriate in a world with absolute certainty is a philosophical debate, but whether or not we can ever be 100% sure that we're executing the right person is an easy question to answer: we just don't, and with any risk whatsoever, I am categorically unwilling to allow it.

Fernando was really mean, i would be so angry lol

Fernando is notoriously an absolute dick, and would openly lie to fans for no apparent reason other than getting his own rocks off. He's a dude who just enjoys the "power" of being..... GNR's quasi-manager?

  11. Chinese Democracy is a GN'R record in the same way that the Ship of Thesius is the same ship at the end as it was in the beginning. Swapping members out one or two at a time, the band had completely changed over multiple times between 1987 and 2008. Whether it's a GN'R record or an Axl solo album is largely a question of formality, but it essentially was Axl with a rotating band of studio musicians who he'd tour with periodically.

    It all adds up.

We know Axl's a basketball fan. It makes sense he'd like the Lakers because he lives in LA. It makes sense he'd like Iverson because he's also temperamental and skips practice.

Comparing Axl to Iverson makes all the sense in the world - Iverson played for the Sixers. It was the Sixers' stadium that Axl was supposed to play the night he no-showed (to watch the Lakers!), triggered a riot, and got the nuGNR tour cancelled. It's all making sense now...

But it's also 30yrs ago and based entirely off hearsay (the original point against Hetfield). There surely must be something against calling someone a racist off the back of absolutely no evidence.

I mean, it's not hearsay if the person who says they heard it was an eye witness. That is literally the definition of not being hearsay. And even if it were hearsay, who cares? People whining on tiktok about 30 year old accusations aren't going to change anything.

I'm on the same boat, but the previous response he gave for the other bouts was that he had alimony to pay to three women - he said himself that this time around money wasn't the motivator and that he was going to give a better version of himself than he gave in 2009. I don't think he came close to that, but they put on some show.

I’m glad it wasn’t a singles match. Look. The show was fun as hell. It wasn’t a tribalist proprietary show. Flair is a guy who worked everywhere, and he brought talent from everywhere to celebrate his career. This wasn’t about a match so much as it was letting him go out on his own terms once and for all. Good show, good farewell. Now please just never come back again 😂😂
