  1. The official Queen site states that Brian recorded with GNR in 1998, see below link.

    http://queen-fip.com/index2.php

I was under the impression that he was in the studio around 2000. Either way does this mean that this demo is from 1998/99?

Probably. I mean, in my opinion it sounds very lame and cheesy. I hope this track is totally redone by now or that it doesn´t appear at all on the Chinese Democracy album.

  2. We´d probably know if the song was released officially or as a promo cds. So the guy probably heard what he wanted to hear... ...what we all want to hear. Wishful thinking is what I think. :P

  3. Well last time i read this was a fan site to Axl and co and not to diss them so maybe u get fuck or well ask to get u banned, now u can get fucked mouthy prick.....dam. :fuckyou::fuckyou:

You should really calm down. There is a big spread of definitions on what being a fan is. Not everyone feels the need to worship the artists behind the music they like. If Guns N´Roses makes a bad song I have no problem saying so. For all I know the whole "Chinese Democracy" album will suck bad, we´ll just have to wait and see (I´m such a fan myself I´ll even get it if it sucks just out of my record collector point of view). To say that everyone should like everything about GN´R and Axl just becuase they´re members on this forum is plain stupidity if you ask me. I love GN´R but not to the point that I can´t criticize them on their work and actions. The fact that some people don´t like some demos doesn´t mean they don´t like the rest and even if it did what´s the big deal? I think that most people on this forum are here cause they care enough about GN´R that they want to stay ahead on the news and also discuss great on not-so-great music with other GN´R fans.

So please calm down cause in my book you are just being pathetic. Ever heard of fundamentalists?

  4. :rofl-lol::rofl-lol::rofl-lol::rofl-lol:

what happened to that guy who kept starting topics about freedom of speech..?

    :sleeper:

He just wrote a line in this thread that for some reason got deleted. Oh, and I guess that guy is me. The question is why I can´t say this thread is stupid while people can say what they want about people who don´t like the new songs? One way street... :sleeper:

  5. the "la, la, laaaaaa" bit before the guitar solo in the middle of the song is orgasmic, anyone else agree?

this is exactly the direction I was hoping for.

What? This song is the worst shit I heard come from the new leaks. Especially the "nanana" parts! Wtf!? I hope this song get totally cut from the album!

"Lukin" from the Pearl Jam song? :book:

Or my last name. :) But the Pearl jam song is about Matt Lukin, the bass player in Mudhoney. :P

  6. the "la, la, laaaaaa" bit before the guitar solo in the middle of the song is orgasmic, anyone else agree?

this is exactly the direction I was hoping for.

What? This song is the worst shit I heard come from the new leaks. Especially the "nanana" parts! Wtf!? I hope this song get totally cut from the album!

  7. i beleive slash and think that the album should be released within the next 2 months, axl knows to many leaks are on the net and needs to release the album before everyone starts downloading whole songs, hes gunna get screwed over, thats what i beleive is going to happen, and i beleive that that is whats really happeneing right now. axls album will come out before his tour dates, watch and see

He won´t be screwed over. The leaks are demos and can´t hurt the album. Of course the official album also will leak sooner or later and that MAYBE will hurt his feelings, but hey as he said according to a guy in another thread: "It´s 2006". So filesharing is a fact of life and I don´t think it will hurt Axl or his album sales.

  8. its easy... really really easy... do not post requests or links to the leaked songs... IF YOU WANT THE SONG,, PM... PM GODAMNIT.

I know it´s easy to go around this problem but the problem is still there if you see what I mean? Posts getting erased etc. Wtf?

As far as I can see there is no problem with discussing the leaks.

To a point this is true, but many posts disappear in those discussions. Posts that I don´t really see a reason to why they disappear. For example, why did my post about the PM-warning disappear? It was clearly related to the thread it was in. I guess it depends on what you talk about when you talk about leaks. Big Brother.

agree. i think we should respect that we are not allowed to post leaked song links.

I belive this is being respected very well now, if you ask me.

  9. ...yeah it´s always a good idea to start suing fans for liking their music so much their going nuts over leaked demos. GNR and everyone who supports these actions can fukk right off if it happens! I really don´t understand how some people can cheer for stuff liek this?

  10. In my opinion, you have to give this moderating team some damn credit. They work their asses of to keep this site running - And not only running, but running LEGALLY. The reality is with all the leaking going on, it is causing alot of legal problems, and there is only so much they can do, and only so much that they can let go on in these forums with out breaking the law..... And then what do we have?

There are no legal problems with asking for links or having discussions about leaks and problems on a forum as far as I know. As I said before, I understand the "no links" policy but you can´t say that all the cencorship going on and warning-PM´s being sent out are justified?

I´m just looking for an open discussion on this topic since it clearly is a problem.

  11. And now my post about the PM-warnings in the CITR-thread has been deleted. Point proven. This forum has gone to shit... If it weren´t for the really cool people hanging out here not a single soul would put up with this behaviour the moderators are showing towards us. Warnings and cencorship won´t stop anything. I really hope the guys (moderators) that are doing all this don´t have these leaks themselves cause if it´s so you are all such hypocrites and I hope you realize that. I can accept the "no link" policy, but the rest of the things with cencorship and warnings for asking for help finding the songs???

I don´t think a right wing forum would even be as fucked up as this one has now proven to be on these issues.

Why don´t you moderators start a sticky thread where we can discuss these factors that have been popping out because of the leaks? I mean, it you and us who make this a forum, not just YOU. And since many people are getting frustrated about this let´s have an open discussion, without harsh words and cencorship!

    /Lukin

(when you start that thread feel free to erase this one)

  12. BTW. All people idolizing and buying the sob story the music industry presents in it´s war against filesharing, you´re the ones who will help keep record prizes sky high. The industry has been robbing the consumers and the artists for way too long if you ask me. Now they´re saying the consumers who download are robbing the artists? If you know anything, you know that most artists don´t make their money from record sales, but they make it from touring and selling merchendise. And those things are not yet downloadable. The ones ripping the artists off are their own labels. Don´t buy into their sob story. Keep music cheap, and of course, support the artists you like in the way that suits you the best.

This was a little off topic but it´s related to the issues some people show they have in this thread.

  13. It´s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine

Thats about how much I care about if someone is selling demos. If people with shitty connections or no connections feel they too want a chance to get those tracks this guy is actually doing them a favor. I think it sucks that he´s making a profit from it, it would better to give it to people and just make them pay for the shipping. But hey, what can you expect, it´s capitalism in full effect!

People treat GNR like they are their family. I love their music and I´ll support them with record buying and by catching their euro-tour, but the religious fanatism some people show towards artists has got to fucking stop. To me it´s ridiculus.

  14. Jesus, what a moron...Hope this clears up soon...and that it wount affect CD´s release date somehow

Don´t think you have to worry about that. This was bound to happen, and I don´t think the GNR camp sees it as a big problem. They´ll probably just contact e-bay and make the guy remove it. Don´t think they´ll go further than that. :)

  15. What's so hard to understand? They are both ILLEGAL. As I said, he is extremely wrong for trying to make a profit, but I still stand by my original post.

That they´re illegal don´t make them the same, so I still don´t think your point is valid. I´m for downloading but not making a profit from it and if you don´t see the difference I am sorry but I think it´s clear as a sunny day. Most people here pay through the nose for music, concerts, merch etc and to try to stop downloading on some fake ass moral ground is just the capitalists wet dream.

Basicly this is a different discussion, cause I think that most people here are gonna buy the GNR-record when it comes out so it´s not really an issue that relates to the actual filesharing-discussion going on all over the world right now. Personally I think the music industry needs to get a reality check.

    /Lukin - the hypocrite pro-filesharing asshole
