Yeah ok I don't like weilends voice so I admit I'm being judgemental to a degree but the first track was just a generic rock/metal shite boring riff with effortless (in a negative not positive way!) vocals.

Second - that's the type of recording old old rockers like Ozzy get when when they're signing abilities are gone, IMO -- affects? Yeah, layered shite. Hated it.

I'm with HV, Perla always seemed to have a negative inpact on Slash (certainly where Axl was/is concerned) or at least that's the perception. As for the neck tattoo? it's ok tbh, he's a rock god for fuck sake, the guy could be tattooed from head to toe and it would make no difference to me what so ever.

I don't get why Subs just didn't sell the forum to the porn guy if it's such a money-sucking headache. The juice doesn't seem to be worth the squeeze.

Yeah, but it's not entirely fair to get pissed at people when they start asking questions either. It's like demanding blind faith now. Yes, some are just complaining assholes. But I think most just ask questions because they're trying to help and think of things to help the situation. People don't know why you guys decided to do what you do and how you got to that. I'm not even criticizing you guys here, just saying that I understand both sides of it.

I really can't spell it out any clearer - Downzy has already stated in a less dramatic way to me but it's still obvious - without google ads, the forum closes. With google ads, we had to compromise with deleting certain posts and threads; by doing so, the forum stays open.

Everyone else is completely entitled to their views -- as I am that I get frustrated when a minority miss the point and then worse, are critical/challenge the very people try should actually be thanking for keeping the forum open and alive. We can go back an forth but there's really no point. It's literally that simple. But like I say, my 'defensive' attitude was one reason I had to step down, too many people here were really frustrating me (as outlined in my comments above).

I think it's extremely disappointing if most of the forums history isn't going to be available. Why if it's archived would it still not show up the forum? Surely the resources are still being used if it's all still there, just not accessible? Just seems to me that the forum's policy on cleaning up threads is going a bit too far. If this was a thread about HTGTH blocking access to most of it's archives people here would be fucking outraged. I'm going to assume alot of people haven't checked this thread and some others who have just missed the small print.

There's a very good reason why these actions were taken that will be disclosed very soon. But rest assured that most of the more relevant and important threads relating to the history of GNR and this forum will be coming back. It has nothing to do with censorship and everything to do with keeping this forum alive for the foreseeable future.
