  1. Soon is the word

    this!! haha

damn!! sorry about being away, lot of work and study lately, the live dvd its coming up great, and the idea about having it before RIR is still the deadline :D

if u guys want i can upload a little preview, not entire tracks so the "surprise is not spoiled" but a couple of seconds from a couple of tracks, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF U ARE INTERESTED IN THIS!

would be great to get some feedback !

THANKS A LOT for the interest in this project and the willing to help!, the final thing is almost there!

I'm definitely interested. Thanks again for taking the time to do this.

  2. http://www.newsquod.com/643161/thin-lizzy-announce-tour-uk-2012/

"The new group lineup features former members of Guns N Roses, The Almighty, and Whitesnake. Richard Fortus, Marco Mendoza, and Ricky Warwick have joined with Gorham, Downey, and Wharton to deliver a musical fusion that would make Lynott proud."

Nor has Richard been denying speculation (in terms of him opting for Thin Lizzy) fans are presenting him via email.

No big deal, each hired hand can be replaced by another. Axl is Guns N'Roses, and as long as he is on stage, that's all that matters. Such is the way of New GN'R :shrugs:

Such was the way of Gn'R since the beginning. Tracii and the boys can't make it to Seattle? Fuck 'em. Steven's too fucked up to play? Fuck him. Izzy wants to leave? Fuck him too.

This is hardly exclusive to new Gn'R.

Problem is can Izzy handle the new guitar work from Chinese Democracy?

the hard bit is Buckethead's runs, the rest of it is pretty straight forward. I'm sure he can guitar-punch as good as Fortus.

I'm really glad BBF isn't the one leaving then.

  3. I was secretly hoping that a catfight would break out in this thread, but I guess this will have to do for now.

So you're secretly admitting that you started this thread to secretly cupcake?

He's not trolling, he's just saying what everyone else is thinking

So everyone's secretly hoping that an argument will break out whenever they start a thread? Or they secretly want cat purrs in their music?

  5. Dijon could have a special appearance on one of the tracks.

Maybe Pitman could turn it into a super funky technopurr.

    or

could appear in the next video, would be perfect!

What a wasted opportunity to go with purrfect.

    What? ...

I honestly need to explain this to you??? You are in a thread talking about adding purrs to Chinese Democracy II. Going along with the sheer stupidity of this thread, you could have opted to end your sentence with "purrfect" instead of "perfect". It would have fit right in with the rest of this retardation.

Calm, this is a light topic, if you don´t like, don´t come here.

I'm not on a topic that I dislike, just to offend. ...

Good point, and it's one I would have followed if I wouldn't have had to come back to explain something that wasn't complicated to grasp in the first place.

Thanks for the advice though, I'll follow it now.

  8. Puurr...listen motherfucker to a song that should be heard!!!!

I think it would be a great intro. Having not met either cat I can't say who would be best for it.

I hope your screen name implies your current status.

  9. Dijon or Dexter? Who would you rather have purring on CD II? Myself, I'm more of a Dijon fan. Just Add Dijon, Axl. You ask "why?" Because it tastes good.

    http://twitter.com/#!/Dijon10

    http://twitter.com/#!/Dexter90265

I've rolled with you through every other thread. People were jumping on you left and right and I just let it go. I figured fuck it, the guy's having fun.

But seriously man, what the fuck is this??? This honestly takes the prize for dumbest thread not only in these forums, but on the entire internet.

Ask yourself if you honestly want to hear a cat purring on CD II. If you answer yourself with a yes, get a ride (It's not safe for you to drive.) to the nearest mental health clinic and ask for an evaluation. Make sure to take some clothes because you might be staying for awhile.

  10. Only if you have the hat to go with it.

    You mean this one?

That will definitely work. Just make sure to let everyone know you're hear to take back the colonies. :rofl-lol:

This is the plan! I'm travelling with a Hillbilly and a Valley Girl so I'm sure I won't get killed! :D

You should bring a Gypsy for backup. The colonies will be yours!!!

  11. Only if you have the hat to go with it.

  12. Hahahaha. Seattle will be a blast. I can't comment on the rest, because I haven't been there. How long are you staying?

Only three weeks unfortunately but I hope to be back again soon after. When I get my engineering chartership I'm hoping to move there but that's another year or two away I think.

Think this'll go down well with the natives?

  13. One world cup and two world wars! Doodah! Doodah!

The U.S. hasn't won a world cup. Unless you're talking about women. But even then, it's 2 not 1.

They also haven't won a world war unless you count popping over at the last minute to dish out a few chocolate bars and nylons and leave a few bastards kicking around London.

Well, we saw you guys getting your asses handed to you, and we felt bad for handing them to you in the Revolutionary War, so we decided we would end it for you. You could show a little gratitude.

1783 was a long time ago and I'm coming to take back the colonies single handed in less than three months so best be prepared yankee doodle!

If you really want a bunch of debt ridden and polluted pieces of land, you can have them back.

Dude it was the greatest place I've been to in my life when I worked on the east coast 11 years ago and I can't wait to get back there for a crack at the west coast!

I'm jealous. Someday I will make it to the U.K..

Haha, you're not missing much! I'm planning to hit Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, LA, Vegas and San Diego from September 27th. Even got me a proper British Red Coat for the occasion!

Hahahaha. Seattle will be a blast. I can't comment on the rest, because I haven't been there. How long are you staying?

  18. Are you for real?

I meet thousands of them when I go see the band live. You should try it sometime.

    Lol.

Actually, one of my friends I got to come to the 2010 Winnipeg show with me and my dad (Yeah, my dad listens to Guns as much as I do. Awesome!) is a fan of the older material. He recognizes CD as more of an "Axl" record, but still says its a good album. But when he saw the show live, he said the new band was probably one of the best concerts he'd ever seen. And this guy never goes on forums or anything.

I think its a general consensus. Sure, people blast the new band...until they see them live. Seems to be the trend from what I've experienced personally.

On a related note, I took my girlfriend's brother with me to Sturgis. He had always hated GNR before that and always gave me shit about liking them. The first thing he said to me after the show was "I will never talk shit about Axl again, that was fucking amazing." It was almost as awesome to hear him say that as it was to see the show.

  19. Yes a few, a guy from the recordstore, who sold me CD and kept on talking about it for 30min.

One of the guys from the gardenercompany, who are taking care of my garden once in a while.

And a guy I talked to in a pub. That's it, not many, most never heard of CD.

Which is a shame really. It's a good album if some people can get past that a guitarist who left 15 year's ago is'nt on it.

Since I came out I met one guy that liked it and one that said there were some good and awful songs on it... Other than that, no.... It is sad what a joke GnR has become...

How about before you came out?

  20. About a week after launch I was going through the drive through with CD playing and the kid at the window asked me if I was listening to the new GNR. I said yes, and asked him if he had heard it yet. He said that he bought it the day after launch, and that he liked it a lot better than he thought he would. The kid was only around 16 but he said he was a big fan of the old stuff as well, and he thought that he wouldn't like it as much without Slash. I agreed that it was really good and took my food and left. That is the only discussion that I have had with a complete stranger, about CD.

  21. Ritz is garbage man...come on don't try and fool anybody.....Montreal 2010, KROQ, 2006, Peru 2010, RockAM 2006, Rio 2001 ect destroy that show

You do realize they played the Ritz twice in the 80's right? I saw the Ritz 87 show not the 88 Ritz MTV show Einstein and I can assure you it was not garbage..............All the shows you mention above are Axl and his tribute band. If you are into tribute bands I guess they were good shows but I was talking about the real deal.......

As I said above, in the jumbled mess this forum made out of my post, I'll bet Fargo 93 was better than either of your club shows and Sturgis 2010 was better than Fargo 93. Fargo 93 was better than Fargo 2002 though.

How can you "bet" the shows are better if you haven't heard the shows and even if you have its all a matter of personal taste?

I can bet whatever the hell I want sucka, I'm a gambling man.

I bet your sister is tighter than your mom.

  23. And Axl had a woman nicknamed Yoda read peoples auras to determine if he could work with him so I guess he is not very credible either? see it works both ways mate........

It would if I were using Axl's word as a basis for my argument. Instead I trust the people that don't take sides with either one.

So whose words are you using then? Marc Canter has already admitted he has no idea how Axl came to own the name so who is this other unbiased person who was there at the time the shit came down?

Ok, I will take Axl's word about one thing.

So let’s start here… the whole Axl wouldn’t go on stage yada yada… is complete and utter crap.

Never happened, all made up, fallacy and fantasy. Not one single solitary thread of truth to it. Had that been the case I would’ve have been cremated years ago legally, could’ve cleaned me out for the name and damages. It's called under duress with extenuating circumstances.

That one statement from him holds more indisputable truth than anything anyone else has said.

Just as I figured you take Axl's word over the many who were there and tell the same story about him........that is all I needed to know...........so much for your credible unbiased sources.....just another Axl worshipper.......

Yup, better than a Slash nuthugger clinging to the past in a desperate attempt to reclaim my youth.

And the law is the law despite the source citing it.

Sorry to disspoint you mate but I have no special desire for a reunion as I saw the real Guns at their peak...and I am very happy Slash went his own way. He has released 5 albums of music I enjoy with another album on the way and I have seen multiple tours with no fake drama or late starts by the bands he has been in....All in all it is great time to be a Slash fan.......

You saw Guns since 2009 too? I had a blast at Sturgis, where did you see them? It is nice to see them in their prime without the musicians being so wasted that they can hardly hold their instruments.

Back to Slash, how are his forums going?

I said the real Guns and Roses as in 1987 club shows I saw not Axl and his tribute band...I did see NuGnR back in 2002 and again in 2006 and the shows were good for what they were but never for a second mistook them for the real thing...........go download the two shows I saw in 87. The Ritz and L"Amour as I can assure you they had no problem playing their instruments...

The Ritz is a horrible excuse for a show. Fargo 93 blew that out of the water. Fargo 93 blew Fargo 2002 out of the water too, but Sturgis 2010 is by far the best Guns show I have seen.

And Axl had a woman nicknamed Yoda read peoples auras to determine if he could work with him so I guess he is not very credible either? see it works both ways mate........

Slash's forums like everything about him is going well thank you for asking hunny.

Prime lol! As far as not being wasted how do you know? I can say this wasted or not it's to bad they cannot play some music that they have created themselves. Instead of stumbling over other musicans work!

I too wish the band had some of their own stuff to play. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on the "Instead of stumbling over other musicans work!" part, because I find the playing now to be far better than the past. Well, Thal anyway.
