Nah,it's only annoying to those people who get called GNR-educators. It's just a word. If people are THAT offended by it,they probably need to find a new favorite band to listen to.Again,people think I have something against "young fans" Bullshit! I was a young fan back in 88 myself. I just wouldn't try and tell people about something I wasn't around for.

I've averaged 3 posts a day over 4 years,Brosef.I wouldn't say I'm on here THAT much. Again,it's great that GNR has new fans,.They need those. I only start with people who try and tell me what GNR was like back in the day or that Slash sucks. If it weren't for Slash,this version of GNR wouldn't be around now. GNR sure play a lot of Slash/Izzy songs now.

Someone who wasn't around for AFD/UYI (well they could have been born but not old enough to really know what was going on) and still feels teh need to tell people how GNR was back in the day. That,my friend is a GNR-Educator If you are just a young fan who loves GNR,then Great! GNR needs those fans.Just don't try and tell people about Guns back in the day!

Why not? This isn't World War One where historians tell what happened. This is an event from fairly recent times so plenty of people are alive to tell what happened and what the scene was like.Nobody is saying younger fans aren't fans. They can't tell people what it was like then if YOU weren't THERE! Seems simple enough. GNR-education

Wrong again,Brosef. But if I did ,I was there.Point is you can't tel someone about GNR if you are a 14 year old kid who wasn't there for AFD/UYI. You can tell people about NU-GNR but not about the OG lineup. You can't get a sense of what it was all about through youtubes and old magazine scans. GNR-Education

I didn't say that you weren't a MAJOR fan, I said that if you weren't there in 87-93,etc. then you don't know what it is like. Umm,being in diapers when TSI was out,doesn't count as you "being around" Broham. I meant people who were old enough to enjoy the music at the time and go to the shows. You might be a HUGE GNR fan but you can't educate people on what GNR was like back in the day based on your viewing of DVDs and reading articles.It's not the same as having been there

Nah,MOST of the time,you don't try to tell people what GNR was like back in the day.Most of the true GNR-Educators are about 14-18.
