  1. NO. Kansas City is tonight at 10pm. This convo is happening because the GN'R camp started using the hashtag #OhMyGod and uploaded a video of Oh, My God to their official YouTube channel. Kansas City will be the first show since they did these mysterious things.

  2. I'm gonna keep track of everything for you guys, but the highlight is gonna be taking my 7 year old son w/ me to see Guns N' Roses 24 years after I saw GN'R for the first when I was 7 years old. I love this fucking band!!!

  4. Also, I'd love to update you motherfuckers in real time from the KC show, so anyone that wants to PM me some instructions, me and the trusty iPhone 4 will make it happen.

  5. Who's reppin' Techa Nina??? Hahaha! Awesome.

By the way, the show is located right next to KC's main drinking district, Power & Light District, which stays open until 3am every night. The concert start time is listed as 10pm on the tickets and I think it's because the Sprint Center can operate later than other arenas.

  6. You ever think we just got caught up in how cool Axl was back in the day? I mean, that old clip wasn't that great. His voice in the 2nd half sounded like velcro being pulled apart.

I don't like the recent clips where his voice seems weak, but for the most part, he's singing the shit outta these song for a 50 year old guy.

  7. I was just talking specifically about SCOM and the solo in it. I don't even see how there can even be an argument about it. The new way isn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it ain't near the level that Finck used to throw it out.

  8. To be fair, the only thing that has changed since 2006 is Dj being in robin's spot. If you recall, everybody hated the way robin played, now, everybody hates the way Dj looks. Okay, so maybe he acts like a poser somtimes.. but he (sounds like) he puts more into his parts than robin did.

He puts more in because he has to try harder. I, personally, don't like the guy as the lead, but not enough to lose any sleep over it.

  9. Dude, there is no way they even make a reference to Axl in this movie.

BTW- Im sure that Eazy-E's son will play Eazy-E.

I bet they would, and will.

It signifies NWA's crossover acceptance who better to use than the biggest rock star in the world at that time.

I've seen Dr. Dre interviews where he discusses watching MTV and seeing Axl wearing the hat and how the whole group flipped out because it made NWA feel as if they had "made it".

  10. CD is far from brilliant - after hearing cd; You know (or at least think) that axl was not the entire driving force behind the first couple of Guns records.

    Totally disagree with this statement.

I think CD is brillant. Axl let the music speak for him and pretty much not do it in the press other than a few statement here and there. If anyone here doesn't get that then they shouldn't be here.

Exactly mate. But don't bother replying to a retard like SunnyDRE, maybe he makes some visitors of this forum laugh, maybe he's playing a character and doesn't actually believes his own non-sense, but seriously, after a while here, I'm pretty fed up with this kind of reject. This kind of people is very sad, wasting your time on a fan board when you aren't much fan of the actual band, is IMO, a retard attitude. This guy must have no life of his own.

Anyway, Corgan is ok, but comparing himself to Axl Rose is pushing it. I don't see how anyone can be compared to Axl Rose when it comes to talent, except maybe Freddie Mercury and Matthew Bellamy in their own genre, but that's pretty much about it.

    Huh?

It's kind of funny that you jump on here to trash Sunny when he was just giving his down-to-earth, honest opinion, which I don't think offended anyone.

Then, you trash Billy Corgan for comparing himself to Axl Rose when he didn't. I mean, the blurb was only 2 sentences, how could you misread it?

Then, the only guy you choose to back-up is the moron who spells "behind the scenes" behind seens.

  11. (Commenting on being the sole member leftover from the Smashing Pumpkins)

[so it's just Corgan now, and he doesn't wince when his situation is compared to Axl Rose's. "I'm a fan, and maybe Chinese Democracy wasn't as great of a record as I would have hoped for, but it also gave me greater appreciation for what he (Axl) actually does," says Corgan.]

*Billy Corgan is giving away 44 new songs for free on smashingpumpkins.com. The first 3 are up and they're really good
