And how do we know Axl was sick ??
Jarmo said it, then Fernando and Ron. Of course they had to say it AFTER the show and not before.
Ah right, where though? Haven't seen it anywhere
I haven't seen it either but I guess it was on HTGTH and twitter or facebook. Looks like damage control to me.

Paradise city is on YouTube now.... needless to say that it's like the rest of the performance...
-
Can anyone tell me if this is available for download anywhere?
Why the hell do you want to download that?

Someone needs to explain why a strep throat makes someone mix two songs together.
It doesn't. He fucked up the lines.
Did anyone deny that he did?
I see people starting to makes excuses. I'm sick of the excuses, there are always excuses. Ridiculous.

Come on... don't be so naive. He wasn't sick. After the show he probably told everyone that he had a strep throat and the yes men "believed" him. Stop the excuses.

I saw that performance on another video a few years ago and we couldn't hear Slash properly, the quality on this one is better. Cool indeed, thanks.
-
In my opinion nothing Slash (or Axl) will ever do will ever match what was accomplished from 1985-1994.
In terms of popularity yes, you're right.
-
Eric Dover and Rod Jackson were better than Myles IMO. I heard Slash stopped working with Rod because he was a "useless junkie". Looks like Slash doesn't want anything to do with him since I saw a little interview with Rod a year ago where he said "Hey Slash bro, give me a call sometime!".
-
Do you think Slash's work post 1995 surpasses his work in GNR?
I do. I almost never listen to my Guns albums anymore but I frequently listen Snakepit, VR and his solo stuff. Sure GNR have some great songs but Slash made so many good songs outside of Guns. With Apocalyptic Love I can now say that his work post GNR is superior than the work he did with Guns.
Do you agree?
-
I would've said Beggars and Hanggers on but it's from 1995...
So i'd say Nothing to say, espacially live. Starlight close second.

A few things to say... It was not cool to post a private message on a public forum, but at the same time, Ron should know that there's a risk that everything he says can end up on internet. I think Ron is a cool guy and the problems with "GNR" have nothing to do with him, it's not his fault. We all know who's fault it is... It's unnecassary to bash him. About the private discussion with the op, even if he says he was joking, I don't think it was a joke. Doesn't look like a joke to me at least. If he really thinks what he wrote I wish he could just have the balls to assume what he said. Anyways...
I have to agree with what you said except the part about we all know who's fault it is. Unless you're talking about the label and the music business in general. But like you said, anyways....
I'm talking about Axl... you have to be blind to not see it, all that is wrong with that band comes from him, his decisions and all. But that's another subject...

So BBF was joking? That's a shame... if he quits maybe that would be the end of this abomination that is "newGNR", which would be a good thing.

Instead of empty mockery, why don't you try to prove me wrong if you think I'm incorrect? Why such lazy and hallow posting?
I don't have to prove you wrong. I feel like nobody should give them anymore money or attention. The band was paid to record music and that's what they did, but they don't seem to be eager to release music. Compare "GNR" with Slash's band just for exemple. They're enjoying making music, they want to rock out. Axl and his band... I don't know what they do...

That logic is incredibly flawed. Completely ridiculous. The band made multiple records. So far, one has been released. Even if some members are in GNR primarily for the financial compensation (isn't that why most people work?), I'm sure they'd be eager for another record to be released as they'd be entitled to royalties.
And even in your flawed and incorrect hypothetical situation where the band doesn't care, why should that have any effect whatsoever on whether fans care? I like basketball. Maybe Pitman doesn't. Should that matter to me at all? No.
You're so smart, you must be an engineer at NASA. The band doesn't care, I don't care.
-
The band doesn't even care for a new album, except maybe Bumblefoot and Ashba. All the other are there for the paycheck. If the band doesn't care why should you?
-
Pretty cool, I like it, but did I miss something? It says in the description that it's the 3rd single. What was the 2 second one and was there a video of it?
Standing in the Sun. There was no video.
Oh ok. Thanks.
-
Slash released a great album in 2010, another album in 2012, and an new album in due in 2014
Rock n roll !

Compare that video with Made in Stoke, the way Myles sings Civil War is better today than in the beggining. In fact he improved on all Guns songs.
-
The Rolling Stones have made 24 studio albums in 50 years... That's about 1 album every 2 years. You can't compare GNR with the Rolling Stones.
-
Back to basic. Axl is friend with Izzy and Duff. Call them and record a simple hard rock album. For lead guitar he should hire someone who knows what rock is (nobody in his current band).

I'm glad you had fun but how can someone with a strep throat sound great? How does that work?
