J'aimerais avoir ton avis Marj. Y'a un prof qui nous a parlé du stress qu'il peut y avoir au travail. Même si elle nous a donné quelques exemple c'est dur un peu d'imaginer quand tu as jamais fait le métier. Pour le fun tout à l'heure je fouillais sur google pour les métiers les plus stressants. Surprise, technicien en laboratoire médical fait parti (supposément) des métiers les moins stressants...
Es-tu d'accord avec ça? J'aimerais avoir ton avis là-dessus avec l'expérience que tu as dans le domaine...

I still view UYI 1 as one of the best rock album ever (better than AFD), the songs were great and the production is incredible.
They're great but if I would have to say something negative about these albums though, I would say that Axl could've put a little break on certains sound effects and a little less piano on certain songs would have been fine too. Also, I'm not sure but I think it was Paul McCartney who once said something along the lines of: I don't make songs that I can't perform live because what would be the point? Like I already said the songs on the albums are great but obviously some songs are almost impossible for Axl, even in his prime, to sing regularly live.. I'm thinking about Coma, Perfect Crime and maybe a few others... As a fan I would've like to hear them more often but they were just too hard to do live.

Doug didn't "drive a wedge" between anyone in GNR. He was the ONLY manager who didn't cower before the tantrums of Miss Diva Axl, and that's why he was fired by the Diva.
Without Doug corralling early GNR and ignoring Axl's bullshit, the band would never have taken off, and we wouldn't be having this discussion, because fan forums wouldn't exist.
People here tend to ignore just how pathetically unproductive Axl is when he's on his own. Which is why the band went downhill once he had control and undisputed power. Axl needs to be held in check by someone who knows what they're doing, not coddled by sycophants who want his money.
Do you mean Alan Niven instead of Doug Goldstein?

I know that you know it but I'll say it anyway... No, there was no mention of Slash because Beta knows that her son would probably cry if someone speak of Slash, so she asked Jimmy to talk about halloween and candies instead.
It's impossible to fail at something you aren't doing. Just because you and 20 other people have Slash boners doesn't make Slash any more popular in the real world.

Nu GNR "peaked" probably around 2001, when Axl reemerged. But that means nothing compared to how popular actual GNR was from 87-93.
Are you crazy? 2001? people think Gn are a joke now but back in 2001 they had good reason to think that... Buckethead (amazing guitarist) had a KFC bucket on his head and a hockey mask, Robin was... Robin... the whole band looked weird and disjointed. 2006 the band was more acceptable. in 2002 there was some buzz, but nothing compared to 2006 or 2012... remember they cancelled the tour in 2002...
They were a freak show but they were more "popular". Things started to go downhill after the VMA performance.

Je panique et après je réfléchis.
C'est normal de se mettre la pression, je suppose qu'on a plus une notion de l'enjeu que quand on est ado et déjà dans le systeme scolaire.
Il faut bien se dire aussi que plus tu serras stressé, plus tu vas trouver ça dur.
C'est la base du boulot tout ce qui est dilution etc. Ne t’inquiète pas à force d'en faire ça vient tout seul. Tu fais des stages en parallèle? Demande à tes collègues de te montrer comment ils font.
Ce sont des formules à apprendre, le plus compliqué est de ne pas se mélanger entre les unités.
Ok, je me sens moins seul dans ce cas héhé. Oui je pense que c'est en plein ça, je réalise les conséquences que pourraient avoir un échec et ça me fait paniquer. Je suis pourtant un gars très calme de nature, mais dans certains examens je me maîtrise pas tout à fait, faudrait que je me corrige.
Pas de stage pour l'instant. Il va avoir un petit stage d'observation en milieu hospitalier fin novembre mais les vrais stages ça va aller en 2015...

If so, maybe it's entirely reasonable for Axl and his family to live their lives without catering to their desires.
no, because there is nothing going on. if axl went out and did a press release saying a new gnr album was on its way, buzz would start to pick up.
Except Axl will not make a press release and will not release an album... and even if he did the band is just dead, there wouldn't be a buzz, the time when there was mystique about a new gnr album is no more, people have heard what fake gnr can do and I really doubt people would care much for new music.

To be honnest, yes. A couple of years ago I went to a litte store (not a music store), and a song from CD was playing (don't remember which song), I was surprised, I was too curious so I asked the guy who was working there if it was the radio, he said it was a cd. The guy was listening to Chinese Democracy... it was a shock honnestly...

Oui effectivement le show n'était pas parfait, mais ça n'est pas ce qu'on attend d'un show non plus.
Oui ça n'est jamais agréable de louper un exam. Est ce que la chimie a un fort coefficient dans ta formation ? C'était quoi le sujet de l'exam? Est ce que tu peux rattraper cette note?
J'ai pas eu le résultat encore. C'est juste que pendant l'examen j'ai paniqué un peu (pas mal), j'en avais chaud, je l'ai trouvé dur. C'était un examen sur les concentrations, les dilutions, molalité... C'est pas que c'est si compliqué mais les questions m'ont vraiment embêté. Y'a 2 cours de chimie lors de la première année. Ç'a toujours bien été toi?

The biggest distortion on this board is how Axl fans around the board have twisted the statement, "Slash sometimes lies to make himself look cool" into, "Slash always lies! About EVERYTHING!"
I don't know if they are just trolling, crazy or just stupid.
Also in their mind saying a wrong date or a year is a lie... I don't know, I call that a mistake but maybe it's just me.

Je me rappelle qu'Axl avait dit qq mots, mais je ne comprenais pas un mot à l'époque, je crois qu'il a demandé aux gens de reculer...mais en fait j'en sais rien.
Parlant de chiant, quand Duff chante "Attitude"... ça l'est... J'ai jamais aimé cette chanson là (je sais pas si il l'a chanté à Bercy). Rien contre Duff évidemment, je suis un fan de lui, mais quand même... Même si GNR était en feu en ce temps là, leur show était pas parfait parfait.
En passant, quand tu as fait tes études, est-ce qu'il y a eu des moments où tu as capoté (je sais pas trop quel autre mot employer et je sais pas si tu connais le sens... disons "paniquer", pour en employer un autre) parce que y'a eu des examens que tu as trouvé durs par exemple? Je sais que quand j'étais plus jeune je m'en faisais pas trop avec les études donc ça m'affectais pas vraiment, l'insouciance de jeunesse je suppose... Je pose la question parce que j'ai fait un examen hier de chimie... et ayoye...
