  1. I think IRS or Better for our first single.Loving those 2.

I'm not really into IRS at all. Maybe the finished version will be an improvement, but of the leaked demos, TWAT was far and away my favorite. I would definitely think that The Blues would be the second single. That's a number one song if it becomes a single.

  2. This is PURE SPECULATION, but, what do you think the odds are of GN'R popping up as musical guest on "SNL"?

I don't know if the season finale is May 13th or 20th, but what a way to boost ratings, if it happened.

Since the warmup shows appear to be going forward, why the hell couldn't this happen?

  3. I suppose the longer we go without an actual statement, rumors like this have legs. I am highly doubtful this is going to happen.

While he's in New York, Axl should do an interview with Howard Stern and tell us what the fuck is going on.

  4. hes probarly a right winger, most americans are, any country that would vote the same shrub in for 2 terms has to be stuck in there ways.

Not to make this political, but Bush wasn't voted in either time, his cronies fixed the vote in key states. No one I know voted for Bush, so how the fuck does he "win"?

  5. Well, I'd be wary of anyone but AXL with real information about the disc's release. Having said that, it kind of seems it's being done the same way the Illusion discs were done- start touring in May (although in '91, they toured in the U.S. at the beginning), put out a single and/or video around June or July, then release the full disc in September.

  6. Hey found this alittle while ago according to www.heretogonetohell.com...TalkingMetal.com has posted episode 55 of their "Talking Metal" podcast. This episode, entitled "Guns N’ Roses Stakeout Part II," features an invasion of Sterling Sound studios in New York city where it is rumored that the long awaited GN’R album “Chinese Democracy” is being mastered.

For some reason, I actually believe this. Why else would Axl be there? I mean, he's been there ever since the leaks showed up in February.

  7. read for yourself: http://www.azstarnet.com/dailystar/metro/123843.php

Carrie Underwood (American Idol 4 winner) covers GnR

"We weren't expecting her to be so confident with nary a hint of cocky assuredness when she got frisky and covered Guns N' Roses' hits "Patience" and "Sweet Child O' Mine."

She shed her country innocence, picked up the mic stand and struck a rocker's pose that wasn't too convincing, but was certainly entertaining.

She did a good job of nailing that classic "aye, yah, yah, yah" Axl Rose line in "Child," although she couldn't quite pull off his whine."

    :o:confused::confused::anger:

(ok, i don;t know if this is the right section or if it was already posted, feel free to move it!)

She couldn't have ruined "Sweet Child O' Mine" any worse than Sheryl Crow did. And somehow Crow wins a fuckin' Grammy for it.

  8. The Boston Phoenix is pretty much a classifieds listing for gay people (if you live in the New England area, you know I'm right).

Anyway, the fact of the matter is, Axl is MIDDLE-AGED. I said in a previous post, he looks like a hybrid of James Hetfield and Bob Seger. I will say that he looks BETTER with facial hair than without, however. Had we seen more of Axl in the last 12 years, we wouldn't be so surprised by his appearance now.

  9. A new interview with the most reclusive man in rock, and he doesn't make the cover??

    I call bullshit.

    I agree with you.

If ANY magazine had a new interview with Axl, he'd be on the cover.

It's probably just a flashback to his most infamous quotes, or some shit like that.

Just trying to sell a few more copies, I guess.

If Axl was going to interview with anyone at length, I figure it would be with Rolling Stone.

  10. If Slash wants to stay with VR, that's fine. He's not the problem, nor is Duff, Matt, or Dave Kushner. The problem is with the no talent crackhead Scott Weiland. He's why "Contraband" was average, and as long as he's there, the band will always be average.

If Slash rejoins Axl in GN'R, it's the biggest story in music this year.

  11. Been keeping an eye on this website for a few years now.

Postively, for sure, Chinese Democracy was supposed to be released come heck or high water in November 2005.

Now here we are, 5 months (or is that 14 years) later and the GNR camp says it is this year.

I guess Axel pulled the curtain over many eyes including the label that spent millions on the un-released album.

I suppose my post will get deleted as a "non-bliever".

I don't keep a monthly watch here. So, has anyone else thrown there hands up in disgust yet?

    My humble opinion-

Saw the new GNR lineup at the MTV awards a few years ago. Thought, cool here we go.

Axle re-enters his cloak room to be never heard from again.

Deep inside he knows the new album can't meet the hype. Even if it is great. Who cares? Release it and tour.

He needs to act like a champion race car driver. Get RID of what don't work. Add more of what does work.

Axel's number one goal - Be a mystery that no one will read.

Asxls reality - Music biz moved on from GNR long ago.

The music "biz" moved on from GN'R long ago? Is that why we are subjected to run of the mill dog shit like Nickelback and The White Stripes?

  12. I do find it interesting that Slash has not publicly commented regarding the lawsuit or the Axl/ Weiland matter. Add the documented meeting between Slash and Axl last year, and it becomes a little more interesting. Face it, there is an opening for a guitarist with the departure of Buckethead. I would say the possibility of Slash returning to the GN'R fold is about 30%. Until the touring lineup is unveiled, anything is possible.

  13. Before someone starts bashing me: I'm not not saying that I expect the following to happen, it's very, very unlikely instead, but:

Wouldn't it be cool if GN'R-management gave the official release date for Chinese Democracy on Aprils fools day?

Then nobody would believe this statement to be real in the first place, but it would gain a lot of extra interest once it's clear that that specific release date is infact legit.

This would furthermore be an example of nice humor from the GN'R-side, and a great story for the general media to write and talk about. :xmassrudolph:

What would be even more interesting is if the disc showed up in stores that day. When was the last time a CD was released on a SATURDAY? Never?!
