Axl, do you have any regrets in life?

Lars always had a thing for Axl. It was just Hetfield who was pissed at our boy. Even after the 2002 VMA performance, Lars said he was glad to see Axl back and that Madagascar sounded great. You could hear James giggling in the background during that interview.
I don't think Lars EVER bashed Axl. It was just the case of Axl being confused and pissed because he was unsure about Mr. Ulrich's motives. During the joint tour, Axl talked to him about some of his ideas for new music videos and Lars used some of those ideas for Metallica's videos without his consent. Axl also said that Lars would call him up and call him a friend, but at this point, Axl was convinced that he was just a double-talkin jive motherfucker who was out to mooch something off him. That was why he dedicated the song to James and Lars at one of the shows.
I suppose Axl has changed his mind about him after all those years.
i think Axl is feeling so much pressure against him with being the only member of Guns N' Roses in the band that he's happy to take whatever support he can get from people in the rock world even if it means having to accept people he previously closed out

Perhaps Axl's psychic told him that he was in grave danger if he played Fresno tomorrow night? That would fucking rule if Axl cancelled a show and gave that as the explanation. Think of all the publicity that would get him.
that's the kind of thing rockstars can pull when they are on top of the world and at number 1 on the charts. Axl can't really pull that stuff at the moment, he doesn't have enough respect from the masses to get away with it due to the other 101 let downs he has given us

Maybe the record label is pushing for a reunion and don't want to release a new Guns N' Roses with the band in it's current form. Maybe that's why Axl didn't play Paradise City the other night, arguably the biggest song from the original lineup, as a way of saying no to that idea and the label who are holding out on the new release.
Just speculation on my part of course, but then you've got to ask yourself what realistically would be better for the record company (more sales), and that's the original lineup. So I think it's possible

Huh? The people of Iraq are not bombing anyone, and America is killing their own youth by tricking people they are there to bring them democracy when everybody knows this was only a profit hunt. Too bad no other countries had the balls to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH when they went against the wishes of the UN and attacked Iraq. Fuck Bush and when we´re on the subject people should check out the documentary "American Blackout" that is about how they made it hard and in many cases impossible for black people (and white people living in so called black communities) to vote so that Bush would win 4 more years....

on the problem with the analogy... I think what Bazz meant was most people stop hanging out with their high school friends as they grow up and grow apart, and thats what happened with their bands, as the members grew older, they grew further and further apart
yeah i know that's what he meant it's just my philosophy degree coming through in that i consider an analogy to be something directly comparible where you can't find flaws in the analogy when it is compared to the reality.
the growing apart thing seems reasonable. some of them have grown up more than others though. Izzy has always seemed the most mature and considerate, but when you look at Axl you see all these child-like behaviours coming out in tantrums and demanding his own way all the time and blaming others for things that go wrong, which as an onlooker is tiring. what we've got here is a failure to communicate. you can pretty much say anything you like to anyone as long as you phrase it right. there's no reason why the original guys shouldn't be able to get along if they set rules by which to communicate. they'd probably need a babysitter like Metallica had in some kind of monster with that dr phil guy running things though, but i doubt Axl would listen or play by the rules of communication.

um, the only member of the original band that Axl does talk to was the only one he actually went to school with. Baz's analogy with school is crap
the reality is Guns weren't formed in school, so an analogy with work would be better, but then Baz would come up against what someone pointed out before which was that you don't have to get on that well with people at work on a personal basis to be able to work together. In fact the work analogy is possibly also applicable when you look at the new band. They are all effectively employees of Axl who do exactly what he says and are forced to say yes to everything. I wonder how many would be good friends with Axl if he wasn't paying them? it's about time people started saying no to Axl so that he can come back to earth and have normal relationships with people where sometimes you have to compromise and not have to have things exactly your way all the time

i agree with the original post here, i think there's a lot of truth here
i think Axl is going to come to terms with it soon enough too. he's faced with two options - the guaranteed huge success of the reformation of the old band (or most of it at least), or the release of a new album which could realistically go either way. it's naive to assume that the new album is going to be a huge success just because it's a band we all love. it is going to be faced with a lot of criticism just because of the length of time and the use of the name and only Axl there etc. wouldn't it be great if Axl (and other original members) could just drop their pride and say "we did some things wrong and we made some mistakes, and we're sorry to each other".

Why do people assume that Axl is delaying the album?
Perhaps it's something to do with the record label, or Merck leaving Sanctuary, we just don't know.
Until we get some kind of official announcement, i suggest we say nothing.
Axl is so vocal, if someone else were holding up the release against his wishes you would think we would have heard about it in a rant. but what have we heard... nothing. so i'm guessing it's Axl that is delaying the release

All i have to say is these is spooking me, Well I went to my local music store today and asked if and when Chinese Democracy comes out..The guy asked if i was talking about Gun n' Roses and i was like Duh. Anyways he said he couldn't really comment on it and that release dates are sometimes changing?? whatever that meant, He said to check out the amazon website for a better answer. So when i got home i did check out the site..and right on the main page near the bottom they had cd realeases.. GUNS N ROSES!!. for November 21ist.. I then clicked on it right away to find out more information and it gets directed to some band called IL DIVO? that is not Chinese Democracy.. but when i click back to the previous page it shows C.D. I find this very strange. Did anyone else notice this?
