GnR-ometer
in 2012
We reached 60% on the GnR-ometer last night with 3 out of 5 of the original guys up on stage. If you count the illusions live band I think it's higher (depends on who you count).
When was the last performance the GnR-ometer read so high and do you think it will reach 60% again anytime soon?
Sure hope so

Fernando doesn't have a problem with Slash? Seriously, has he ever met him?
I saw Slash on Top Gear last night, he cracks me up and seems like a nice guy and a great rock star
-
It was funny and I respect him
-
This would be really good. They could play all sorts of deep GnR cuts that Axl's band don't touch
Like locomotive and Coma
-
I think he will have a problem with Duff because they went along anyway when Axl didn't want to and they got a very favorable response at the show, on message boards, news articles, and the comments of articles. Axl is getting ripped to bits, he is actually getting some very harsh criticism from people. Axl likes to pretend he doesn't care about things like that, but 24 years of following this band closely has taught me he is very sensitive to these things
-
I have a feeling that Axl will have a big problem with Duff now. Just a feeling
-
Del James would be living in a dumpster if he hadn't clung so hard to Axl
-
Del 'Axls Propagandana Man' James
-
I expect he will rant about it but it will be the usual world is out to get Axl kind of shit, blame everyone else etc etc
-
He was a good choice given the circumstances
-
Adler had a smile the whole time playing, and he attempted to throw the sticks into the balcony at the end, and missed both times lol
Proof that he loves the fans. People can talk about self-promotion with an event like this as much as they like, but the guy was trying to throw some sticks to fans up top
-
Oh my god... It was so fucking awesome.
If Axl had been there, the world would go down, and this is not an exageration.
That's the truth

May someone tell me wot happen at HOF? Instead of going through 4632 pages please?
Awesomeness happened.
haha! that it did
-
Sounds like the awesomest gnr night since 1993
I watched a shitty sound and picture that took up about 10cm of my computer screen, and it was still amazing!
-
Now that I'm thinking about this whole thing, it should be amazing if Slash would have said: "And finally, I wanted to thank Axl Rose, he didn't want to be here but wherever you are "my friend", thank you!". I would have cried .
that would have been pretty cool
Oh wow, I could tear up just reading that. Pity he didn't think of it himself - how powerful that would have been.
He probably wanted to, but Axl explicitly asked in the letter not to be named or associated with the band at all. He probably would have sued anyone who mentioned his name. Chris Rock can probably expect a lawsuit of some sort.
Or HBO can just bleep Axl's name or edit out the joke entirely.
No need to. Axl could only sue for defamation. The truth is considered a defence against defamation, and as most people are aware of Axl's habit for being late this wouldn't be considered defamation

I was wondering if anyone would thank Axl. I guess Matt did because he thanked band members that were not there. So I guess that means Axl, Izzy, and Dizzy.
That was a good and nice thing for Matt to say
-
so they did it!.. AWESOME!!!
OLD GNR........... WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'Old' GNR?
What we heard was just plain GNR
LA
If you don't believe the current GnR it's actually GnR fine whatever! Then it's not GnR... But then you go and call this GnR? Withouth Izzy and Axl? Seriously?!!!
I'm sorry but as of your writing of that, current Gn'R is Slash, Duff, Steven, Matt, and Gilby.
This is true, people consider GnR to be what you just wrote, with Axl and Izzy missing in action

Lol, Axl may be the only guy to ever get booed at his own hall of fame ceremony. Probably won't see that again.
All joking aside, that was the best indicator to me that Axl needs to take a serious look at things and re-evaluate. If he wants to keep on his current path then do that for sure, but just show yourself and everyone else involved some respect and give it a new name
why because corportate suits booed? the same suits who wanted him to be their doggy and jump through their hoop to make them money and get them ratings said fuck off
It's not just corporate suits though is it? It's other musicians and fans as well

If someone were to give an award to my exgirlfriend and I as the best couple ever I dont think I would attend, at least if I wanted to keep my wife happy I wouldnt.
This made me laugh! lol
If the band Axl currently plays with is his 'wife', then she is the equivalent of a mail order bride

You posted a pic of VR with Slash's singer? Cool story, bro. Tell it again...
That's like saying a picture of Axl's band is a bunch of guys nobody knows with Guns N' Roses' singer....
Oh yeah, that is what people say
-
That's a cool photo

I wonder what chris pitman thinks of all this
Who gives a flying fuck
To think, Chris Pitman has been in GNR longer than any of those guys....
And contributed....nothing at all
He at least contributed the same amount as Steven.
How old are you?
You are so clueless.
+1

None of the guys on the stage are technically part of gnr.... The whole thing is a shamwow full of bs.
Yeah...cos gnr's at home on the couch now eating Doritos....

I was thinking about those dates too
AFD 20th had 80% in attendance and once again 60% up on stage when Steven, Duff, and Izzy played
