We don't need a reunion as far as I'm concerned. We've got good music and new band members that make this whole project interesting. I think that once they play North America and they get an album out, the casual fans won't give a shit who is playing in the band as long as it is fronted by AXL.

I do. Kid Rock is hanging with Axl for some reason, and I think it would be a great show that would draw lots of fans. As I said on HTGTH, I think it could potentially draw stadium crowds in a few markets. It would guarantee sell outs in every 15-20K seat arena in North America anyway. Axl and Kid Rock appear to be friends and all of Kid Rock's fans probably love GNR. I really think this would work. If you have never seen Kid Rock live, he puts on an amazing show and is really talented- you would think this even if you don't like him or his music. What do you think?

I think that's his name- the lead singer of Def Leppard- anyway, I was watching them on the VH1 Rock Honors show tonight and his voice is shot. I mean this guy is fucked. We thought Axl's voice was shitty in 2002, his is worse than Axl's WAS. How happy are you that Axl's voice is back? I can't wait for the casual listener to hear him on the radio again.

This is a new and improved version of 2002 Kaneda. Axl's put together a band that is better than any band out there and his voice sounds great compared to the 2002 short-lived tour.

Sure, we all want the album, but we don't have it and there is no bitching or complaining we can do to make it surface. I just hope the finished product we get when, or if it ever is released is better than anything we have heard in sometime. I would like it to be the benchmark to which every shitty new band or album is compared.

Axl needs to rework his finale and get rid of the Confetti. He needs a bad-ass indoor fireworks show or something else at the conclusion of Paradise City. Seeing it live makes you feel like you are watching a cheesy New Years Eve Party or something. Stupid topic, I know, but I just think it would be cool if they do something else for the big ending. Anyone else agree?

I haven't read this entire thread but I have this to say:

As a drummer- I think Brian Mantia is good and better than Matt Sorum and probably Adler (he's been fucked up and out of the band so long, I can't really remember what he sounded like other than on Appetite and the Live at the Ritz concert).

As a person, member of Axl's organization- I think he is an asshole and doesn't seem to take Axl's project seriously. I get pissed off when anyone associated with Axl doesn't acknowledge his greatness and Brain, to my knowledge, never publicly has when asked about his involvement in GNR. Instead he always responds with smart-ass statements like "yeah, I'll be in the band if Axl pays me..." Fuck him.

It will be interesting to see if he is part of this. What if Sorum gets back with Axl and Slash doesn't. Afterall "Slash hates Matt Sorum" according to the press release.

Anyway, I'm going on a month long vacation- see you in NYC everyone.

I'll be in the show on the 17th. I was your live correspondent from the Cartersville, GA incident where we all knew Axl wasn't going to be there, but my dumb ass went anyway. I have a Treo 650 with Sprint service. Someone let me know who I can connect with to provide coverage and I'll be happy to help out.

Outtagetme recommends that if you leave home on the day of the show, catch an early flight and pick the airport/ airline with the most flights into that airport. If there are delays, oversold seats, or any kind of bullshit all, your airport/ airline choice could prevent you from seeing Guns N' Roses, which is why you are going to NYC in the first place.

For instance, I'm flying Delta out of the ATL and on the day I am flying in, most of their non-stop flights from here are going to LaGuardia. We picked LaGuardia.

Madison may live in New York, but I disagree with her on Newark. I've ridden the New Jersey Transit Train before and while it was a packed bitch, it got us into downtown @ Grand Central Station quicker than sitting in traffic in a cab, which frequently happens from the other two airports.

This is going to be the first time all of us Forum members are in the same city/ place at once. I think maybe a moderator or certain members should stay back in an undisclosed location in case someone tries to attack us.

I've been to NYC several times, but this will be the greatest day of my life.
