  1. I have crates and crates of Lego from my childhood still packed away. Lego feels too bland these days, it's more oriented towards the City range. To me, the old school lego ranges such as Knights & Wizards, Western (Cowboys, Cavalry & Indians), Egypt Explorer/Adventures, Pirates were the best. They were full of creativity and imagination, something that has been lost with modern day lego, albeit I'm sure there are still some cool Pirate-Style Lego these days.

    Here's some Nostalgia:

  2. man not even your amazing review justified how good they were! Good to see it was dark for you when they went on. I'm suprised you didnt get to the front from waiting since the deftones. You Perth-ites... Perth-ins.....Perth-uns...... Perth-ons...... Perthans....:shrugs:

....You perthans must just love good music more than us in QLD.

  3. Gonna be 40 degrees for the BDO in Melbourne tomorrow.

    Goddstein might melt the stage.

Not quite. Some of the crowd got a bit melted though.

"get the hose!" "we need water!"

    Anyway, three days to go.

The daylight would have killed the atmosphere a little bit i think. Was that a 730pm slot like the previous BDO gigs? The stage looks lower to the ground too.

  4. Basically just gonna sit at the Orange stage all day and wait for Stein. Wanna be close enough to feel the burn.

Deftones will help with the wait. GUNS! RAZORS! KNIVES!

I would say 4pm would be a safe bet to get center stage, I rocked up at about 430pm, ended up basically in the middle of the barricade next to some bogan chick that had been there since midday (waited 7 and a half hours to see them), 2 mins into steins set she passed out from the moshing ....

I'm not sure what the moral of this story is, so i'm gonna say 'don't be bogan or you'll get crushed at a rammstein gig'

  5. I am a member of 10c. Its a pretty cool place, a lot less arguments than over here lol

A lot less? I didn't think we argued over there haha. Pearl Jam probably has the best fan base of any band.

  6. Damn, i wanna be this close

I was even closer . In between Richard and Till on the barricade. I rocked up to the D pit half way through the deftones set and hung back till they finished before walking straight to the barricade. Then having to listen to Birds Of Tokyo :(, John Butler :) and Iggy Pop :) while waiting. But be prepared for a brutal mosh. Getting to the front is worth it at all costs. Or you ain't gonna get a much needed foam bath.

  7. I don't know why people would think GNR peaked at AFD. It is their most successful album, over time. However I don't think you comprehend how big GNR were when UYI came out.

Some bands that peaked on debut I think were:

Rage Against The Machine - self titled

Pearl Jam - Ten (some would argue Vs.)

    Coldplay - Parachutes

    Lynyrd Skynyrd - (pronounced 'lĕh-'nérd 'skin-'nérd)
