Don't be forgetting Release and WMA! Too hard to place a favourite song.
Check the slow version of Lukin out, amazing.
These guys are something special in concert.
-
thanks for the update mate

Just found out too. She'll be a good one, Ed vedder is in Brisbane a week before too. March is looking like a very good month.

Plastic Beach is the best album of 2010.
This is the answer.
That list is quite depressing

Fortus was pretty keen to get in the car so I didn't hassle him but Bumble took the LP to the car and made him sign! lol. Del was happy to see the Language of Fear and showed everyone he had a book, they all just said bullshit you never wrote it! lol
Great
gotta love their humour.

Richard makes his James Bond solo better and better each time I hear it. He's so underrated. All three guitarists are. So here he is...Fortus, Richard Fortus.
Cheers mate, always love his solo's.

So the folks happened to be in Sydney this weekend and picked up the Sunday Telegraph (Biggest selling news-paper in Aus), here's what it had to say:
RED- HOT TRACK ACTION
True to reputation, Axl Rose kept his thousands of fan waiting at Sydney's ANZ stadium last night.
Famous for running late and only going on stage when he is ready, Rose and his Guns N' Roses bandmates were an hour late beginning their set at the TElstra 500 V8's at Olympic Park.
"It's Good to be back," Rose said after belting out the band's classic Welcome To The Jungle.
"What a great f****** crowd."
The band's late arrival was clearly worth the wait though, with Rose greeted by rapturous applause.
The iconic rock star showed no sign of age as he energetically ran around the stage, although his dance moves appeared to be more of a shuffle.
The Guns N' Roses performance topped off a day of thrilling entertainment, carnival rides, vintage cars and lots of drinking.
Among the 70,000 punters was a slew of celebrities, most notable golf-champion Greg Norman, who had the perfect bloke's day out
Couldn't find the picture they used, it looked pretty awesome.

I know, a few days old, but here's a quick article
THE enigmatic Axl Rose remained just that when he arrived in Sydney yesterday en route to the first Guns N' Roses concert in Australia for three years. A polite Rose quickly pulled himself up from dropping the "F" bomb when asked if he had any message for his loyal fans, simply telling them to "have a good show".
The band were briefly in transit before heading to Townsville by private jet for the opening concert on their four-date tour.
The Gunners frontman, who could run seminars on how celebrities can maintain their privacy, is expected to head back to Sydney with his entourage tomorrow to relax before the band's headlining set at the Sydney Telstra 500 championships on Saturday.
Rose is renowned for his late arrivals on stage, with the V8 official site still stating the Guns N' Roses playing time as TBC.

Better
Fucking Ace! Thanks!
That was great footage. Gotta love the Axl smile at 2.25 and Fortus and Axl ripping it up from 2.35. The band looks really energetic in this vid, best vid I have seen of the new line up!

Axl at Townsville airport
Damn he looks skinny in that pic.
he looked fitter then in 07, looked younger and moved around better.
He looks wasted in this picture .. But the camera just caught him at an awkward pose.

Fairer representation of the setlist, with the exception of Axl singing Don't Cry (I don't know if he did or not.) I'm not a fan of the whole setlist debate, as I enjoyed it when I was at the shows and thought the solos were all great, but you can't beef it up by including "Band Jam" and "Axl introduction" and have people under the illusion it's an extra long set. Glad to see Better in, though.
I always thought 18 songs was a long set...... (bar pearl jam )
Does anyone know where to find a similar white t-shirt to axl's in the photos? It looks awesome.

Has anyone sussed out any Townsville reviews?
Any vids yet??
I have some, but none worth uploading....
Did you happen to pick up a Townsville news paper this morning?
-
i read on a u2 forum that axl was going to attend the U2 show tonight and then go to the GNR show.
Axl actually has good taste in music. So I doubt it.
-
I used to be adamant that The Downward Spiral was untouchable, his magnum opus...but lately The Fragile has potentially just usurped the position of most genius thing in the world.
Also, great Terrible Lie vid BS. I have recently fallen in love with that song, I find it bizarrely sexual.
For me its between Broken and The Downward Spiral. Can never make my mind up.
Big Time Hard Line Bad Luck Fist Fuck!
Hahaha..

who the hells judd smoke? haha

while we're talking about mic stands and stuff. I remember Axl, off topic: isn't it funny that Axl is underlined in red on a gnr board, so anyway I remember that Axl used to sometimes play cat and mouse with the mic caddy. Anyone got a video of Axl chasing the mic caddy?

Merry B'day bahda. Hope the presents are good!
-
There is quite a few good songs out of that album. Ain't It Fun is probably my favourite.
-
Hope you assholes have a good time fucking rubbish how they aint coming to Melbourne.
When the band doesn't come to you, you go to the band . Hey kittengirl, are you hot?
-
Well I'm pretty sure they were going through a lot of shit for most of that decade, which is what slowed down production on the album. It will be a lot smoother sailing this time round. When the tour finishes the band will break for about 3 months then get back into the studio for 6-8 months (optimistic). So I'm guessing a year.

haha looks like ron's trying to hook up with beta in the last 2 pics.
