  1. Axl sounds great.

Am I the only one that doesn't like DJ Ashba's intro to welcome to the jungle?

No. I don't like it either.

I just don't like the attitude that accompanies it, like he f'n wrote it or something. He hypes it, Slash would just fucking play it

I actually love that intro, because I rather he do his own take on it instead just doing exactly what slash did (I am sure I just cue'd up a joke about how he dresses like slash :rofl-lol: )

  2. I only put some emphasis on Axl being more in shape, because I think it would help his voice out a lot. I love that runs all over the stage and isn't just standing there like a statue, but with him being out of shape, it only makes it tougher for him to sing somewhat ok.

  3. This is what we're calling awesome now?

    My thoughts exactly.

    :rofl-lol:

I also love how he gets more outta shape and people say, wow he is losing weight and looks better now.

I think Axl still has it in him to get back to that 2006-2010 voice, he obviously did something to get back in vocal shape after the Mickey Mouse circa 2002, ya just gotta do that little thing Allen Iverson says "we talkin' bout practice"

  4. I think Frank mite of slowed the tempo down a small hair, and it sounds like it helps Axl sing it better. I can actually hear Axl finish complete phrases of lyrics instead of cutting them short to prepare for the next line. Could be wrong, but I am a drummer, so I am only 90% crazy

  5. Must say, this is the best Axl has sounded since Miami/Orlando. I'm excited again. Tee hee

The vids don't even begin to do Axl's voice justice.

I was blown away by how amazing he sounded in Philly. Unreal.

Yea there were tons of people around me going holy shit he sounds amazing! He had the crowd rock3

  6. Would you be named..... Steve, PG? lol :rofl-lol:

No not stalking, lovely pic though :xmasssanta: :tongue2:

haha :rofl-lol: I think you found me!

Here is a pic of DJ checking out my gf's DJ ashba t shirt for a second time. Lets just say she was in heaven (I guess I better get tattoos and be all cool and stuff too <_< )

Here is another version of Ashba's t shirt I posted on his page to give him a better look at it:

  7. Sounded like a great show, I hope Ron gets better!

Yea he looked really bad, hopefully its just a pulled muscle or something. He chilled at the side of the stage for a while, and since the stage is so small, he could be seen by mostly everyone so I kept hearing people talk about it.

DJ gave a shout out to you on fb!

yea I posted on his page after the show, and saw he put it on his wall, totally awesome. Lots of love for the shirts, and I have like 20 friend requests in like the last few hours :rofl-lol:

  8. wow what a show, I was blown away. Just got in safely  . Had an awesome time and everyone loved the shirts, I had people coming up to me left and right, and some forum members, it was sweet. Awesome meeting you guys from the forum, always good to see fellow GNR nerds :rofl-lol: . I was in the balcony area against the rail near the stage, and a had a great view. My gf got DJ's attention and she turned around to show off the shirt with his name and he gave the usual fist against his chest, she loved it. I was kinda behind her so my shirt wasn't really seen to well, but I knew I had to show it off to Axl somehow, so I waited till the end of the show when they did their bows. I turned around with my back to them the stage and told my gf to get DJ's attention again when he looks over and point to me, and maybe he will get Axl to look. Well it worked, she screamed "OMG DJ is looking!, wait now he is trying to Axl's attention to look, OMG Axl is looking, smiling, and pointing!", I turned around and saw Axl staring at me. I am like holy shite!, and he gave me a smile and a point. What a way to top the night rock3 .

Ok now to the show, as usual they rocked it, can't say it was better than the AC show, but it was still amazing. I believe ron pulled something in his neck, because fairly early in the set he went to the side of the stage, slumped on the steps and was out of it. Playing songs sitting down, then taking a break, and resting his head, rubbing his neck area. Axl made a comment about Ron is having a great time tonite, but his vertebrae isn't.

Axl brought up the 2002 Philly show and how he couldn't say anything for many years or else he would get sued. He did say (at least I think I heard this right), is that he cancelled the show like 6am that day because he was sick, but Management never cancelled the show even though he told them too. I couldn't hear all of it, but he did apologize and everyone clapped and loved it. rock3

I am sure I will remember more later, but I need to shower. What a night, and the shirts turned out great!

  9. OK! I am gonna try and make those GNR/philadelphia flyers t shirt jerseys tomorrow afternoon, I was able to get outta work of the day, and I am gonna make one for me and my girl. Me being Axl, and her being DJ Ashba (per her request because he is soooooooooooo cool apparently <_< ). Any ideas for what number DJ should be? I think I will keep Axl at either 80 like the jersey he wore at the VMA, or 8 just like how it was on some the Merchandise Jerseys from the 2002 tour.

  10. Definitely the best Better performance I've seen recorded. They all nailed it.

yea it was amazing, and outta all the new songs I think the crowd got into that one the most. Axl was jumping around all over the stage.

    ABOUT LAST NIGHT:

Hopefully I kept the order right of the set when I was sending the updates. I did good early, but I started to really get so into the show that I was forgetting lol. Me and my girl got a sweet spot next to the soundboard, and had a perfect view. GNR went on around 12, and there was many people actually sleeping against the barrier to the soundboard, whimps :tongue2: . Once GNR came on, it was rocking. Axl was in great spirits the entire night, he pretty much joked around the entire night. Before they went into the end of November Rain I am pretty sure the guys were joking with Axl about the last show where he forgot to the play the end of the song, giving him signals like hey you wanna stop here, we're done right? A few times Axl spotted some fans taking pics with there phones and actually did funny poses for them. It was like night and day from the Axl I saw at the Camden show, I am pretty sure he could of went another hour, cuz he seemed to be having so much fun. Best song of the night could of been "Better", it seemed different, they were on fire and Axl was going full rasp during the song. His voice tonight sounded like your basic 2012 tour voice, but def had a few more glimpses of his rasp. I hadn't seen Crazy, Use to love her, or Civil War live, so having them in the set last night, just blew me away. I am beat as shit so I need to recover because I have another date with GNR this Monday rock3
