I just discovered Breaking Bad and I've been watching it for about three hours a night. Amazing show. And you learn how to cook crystal and murder someone with ricin.
The more you know!
pretty much the best show on TV right now
-
Just from hearing some reactions when I was leaving show, a lot of people were saying it was an amazing show. On wmmr a couple fans called in and said the same. Axl just might have won over the haters here in Philly

Amazing show, the band and axl were super tight, hittin up a diner now to get my energy back lol. Thank you GNR you kicked my ass.

Lighting guys are taking their positions

Couldn't find an inflatable dolphin in any stores... sorry guys...

Anyone know who's opening up for this show?
I was curious about this too, although I plan to get their around 7-8 area and tailgate till like 10. 11pm seems to be the average start time. If it was buckcherry or bach I prob would go in earlier.

Is there any kind of curfew or noise ordinance in effect in Camden?
Camden is one of the most dangerous places in the country....Welcome to the fukin jungle
yea you pretty much do not leave the parking lot or your screwed
-
I love shows like Mad Men and The Wire too, and yea they get slowed paced as well, but it seems like those kinda shows handle that a lot better than Boardwalk. I still like the show, but I haven't been able to love it like Mad Men or Breaking Bad.

Little behind on Breaking Bad, just got done watching the season 3 finale...can't wait until I get around to watch the fourth, I've read nothing but awesome things about the fourth season.
amazing show, the show gets better and better every episode

The Walking Dead was pretty damn sweet. The opening was soo intenese. Then it kind of slowed down, but the end was a shocker! The ratings hit records.
You think so? I think it was straight soap opera mode...I'm tempted to say "jump the shark", but I'm holding back...big fan of the last season, but the premiere, for one that was so hyped, was a let down imo.
Same feeling here about The Walking Dead, it was an ok episode, but that church scene was brutal, talk about cliche, very unlike AMC shows. The episode was pretty much just them running from zombies. I am still giving it a chance too, but it def has to pick up.
Anyone else having trouble with Boardwalk Empire? I feel like I should love the show, but its just not doing it for me. Season one was way to slow and drawn out, and figured it would change this season, but it seems like more of the same. I do think maybe Steve Buschemi wasn't the best fit for the role, and the other characters are the real stars over the show over him. Any thoughts? or help showing me the light lol

well if he could sing that part with some rasp, I am pretty sure he would. Its pretty obvious his voice is tired out at that point. I am sure as the tour goes on it will get stronger and stronger. He just doesn't have the pipes working 100% as of now

i live about 45 from philly, and im going to the wilkes show specifically because of what happend in 02. not taking a chance. philly crowds can be ASSHOLES, if there was every going to be an incident with the crowd throwing shit on the stage, its here.
I disagree. I was at the 2002 no show and I was pissed at the time. People grow, they get over things, I did. And the whole "Philly crowds are the worst" is the most overblown, media created illusion there is out there. Much worse happens in other cities every year and barely gets any attention - like people getting killed in parking lots, beat up, etc....if a fan throws a snowball at a Philly event it's all over the nightly news. And I highly doubt fans that are paying $100+ per ticket are going there to get back at Axl....lol.
Gotta love it when you hear more about a snowball thrown at a drunk santa for kicks 50 years ago, over someone killed at a baseball game or fans destroying its own city over a stanley cup loss Its like a running joke here in Philly, who will be the next person to say we are assholes. We are like the Axl Rose of all city's apparently lol. I am pretty sure any crowd is gonna be assholes when someone doesn't show up for their own gig/
I am sure there will be people at the show who will be totally blown away at how great Axl and boys are and just won't admit it, or just say well he is fat yadda yadda yadda.
philly fans booed a NHL fights cancer add
well that's because you "cure" cancer, not "fight". Fighting isn't nice

Pit tickets aren't available for the presale for this show, I guess.
Saturday it is, then!
EDIT: Pit tickets are $112 dollars?! I'm holding off on this show, then. Hopefully Philly or NYC get announced.
This is the Philly show. Bands either play in Camden or Philly, not both. (Camden is considered as being within metropolitan Philadelphia) This venue is literally 10 minutes from downtown Philadelphia, just over the bridge.
The OP should edit his original post and put Philadelphia in parenthesis next to Camden.
Yea and any bands who play here acknowledge the crowd as philly almost all the time

I know he has def gained some more weight, but I wouldn't even be suprised if they doctored the photo a tad bit, because he looks 300lbs there
, not saying they really had to photoshop the fuck out of it, but the photo does seem pretty extreme.

This didn't even feel like Guns n' Roses to me. It was such a strange show, it didn't feel right at all
Same, something about it didnt feel right
felt the same thing, just a had a weird vibe to it
Like we have seen Axl make mistakes, but I havent seen him not be able to recover, like his mistakes were brutal and then not being able to get his shit straight was the cherry on top. It was scary to see him doing that.

Philly fans riot when there team WINS the world series they have an excuse for everything Philly is just a bunch of crazy fucks makes me love to live in jersey when I go to that suck hole
you live in Jersey and your making fun of Philly better know your place
We celebrate when we win, and we get pissed when we lose. Pretty shocking, huh?
I wouldn't even be suprised if Pierre has some of the other guys in the band on his show they day before or day of the show, and be all buddy buddy with them

I thought I saw something get thrown at him
I had a guy next to me who knew all the lyrics to the new songs, and we were belting out all the CD songs together, his gf and mine chilled and rocked out while were officially became "boys" it was great
