  1. FYI i just got word that Rock in Rio got the bid over GN'R Reunion gig for lisbon. Metallica are booked for the Metal Day.

Take it with a grain of salt, but i believe it because i know the people that told me this and they are part of the industry in Portugal.

What does that mean exactly? I think it means RIR wants a reunited gnr and would get them before the other Portugal gig, but not sure.

  2. I hate to say it but Axl assembling a new lineup isn't far fetched. Yeah, it would be a huge let down, but why would it be a "stupid" move in his eyes? Its no different to the casual fans which make up the crowd at shows who plays with Axl in a non- classic lineup.

It's one thing to plug in a new member when one leaves. It's another to replace almost everyone with more people the average fan hasn't heard of before.

I can't imagine he rebuilds from scratch again. I think it's either reunion or retirement. I've been wrong before and will be again, but that's how I see it.

  3. I think there are seven or nine steinman songs

My mistake, I was informed they did not do this one together. Makes me even more excited forthe album, as I think they are amazing. Probably the only 22 year old that thinks so lol.

  4. I would say meat has kinda flown under the radar since bat out of hell 2. I for one am excited to hear the next album, but there hasn't been the buildup for it like there has been for CD. Meat has released stuff since then, and done some movies, while Axl has been very reclusive, and has hyped one album all this time. Plus Axl seems to have an almost mythical stature due his lack of interaction, and I think that helps fuel the machine. Even people who aren't big Guns fans ask me whats going on with them every once and a while, and want release date info when it comes, as well as tickets for the fall.

I think Meatloaf would be hyped more if he collaborated with Steinman on this one. But you are right, bat 1 and 2 were not exactly small releases.

  5. MTV doesn't care about Axl anymore. He won't be at the VMA's.

    good one!

    Know any others? B)

    UK SUBS.

...But on a serious note, i'm sure MTV would do anything to get Axl on the show.

MTV usually reports even the smallest bit of news regarding GNR, and it's usually in a positive light.

They just did it again today on their website.

  6. They cut off the funding AFTER End of Days, I don't remember what year exactly, though I am sure someone else can help me on that.

As much as Axl likes his privacy, I don't see him going through this if he didn't have plans for the album. I know all about 2002, I was lurking around for that, and went to the Cleveland show.

However, as great as it wasat the time, looking back on 2002, it seems like a characiture of Axl and GNR. His demeanor, his clothes, and the all around perfromance of the band is light years away from 2002. He seems to actually want this, and I think that was the problem all along.

  7. I am so tired of this I love NYC, it's the greatest city in the world bullshit. NYC is a dirty, smelly, shithole of a place, full of ignorant, up-their-own-ass people that think they are better because they live there. Fuck them. Get your head out of your own ass and realize there is a lot more to life than NYC.
