  1. I choose Out of Exile, I think it has a better mix of music and I love the guy's solos. The band really clicks. This is probably an unfair poll since Audioslave actually sounds more like a band with their sophmore effort, but whatever.

  2. I dipped outta school to go get this album and it's pretty good. "Your Time Has Come" "Out of Exile" "Be Yourself" "Doesn't Remind Me" "The Worm" and "Man or Animal" are my favorites so far. It definently has a different feel to it than their first album did. Not sure which one I like best yet, that's gonna take time.

  3. Any rumors about Pink Floyd ever reuniting are false, it's never gonna happen again. I wouldn't doubt it if David Gilmore or Roger Waters did solo gigs, but that's about as close as I think anyone's gonna get to a Pink Floyd anything anymore. It's depressing, I really wanted to see them doing their thing, but they're rich and getting older so why should they give a damn?! I sure as hell wouldn't anymore.

  4. Purple's my favorite STP album. Shangri-La Dee Da is a real good album, my favorite songs are probably "Coma," "Black Again," and "Transmissions From a Lonely Room". Right now I listen to "Dumb Love" a lot, but that's just because I like the song title right now.... It does sound like something is missing from this album though, like they overproduced some of it or something, it kind of sounds too close to pop at times.

  5. Bringing Down the Horse is the only album I listen to on slim occasions. One Headlight and The Difference are the only songs I think I take notice of. I'm not a big fan of them.

  6. I love listening to his live and unreleased stuff, like "Band of Gypsys" and "First Rays of the New Rising Sun". Those are essential... besides his three studio albums of course.

  7. Get "Thank You," I bought that first along with the dvd and it's what led me to buying or somehow getting a copy of their 5 studio albums. I got Purple first since "Interstate Love Song" was the first song that really caught my attention, then Core after that because I thought "Plush" was pretty cool too. Purple's my favorite.

  8. I don't mean this to be U2 vs STP, although that might be interesting, but I'm wondering who people think is the better gifted guitarist in their skills, their creativity, their craftsmanships, their everything you can think of. I can't decide because I like a lot of The Edge's rifts like "Mysterious Ways" but DeLeo seems to be more of a rocker and can pump out much better solos if he wants to.

  9. I like the riff/background guitar. I think it gets pretty scrambled with the solo though. I think it'd be cool if you just broke off from the opening riff and started on the solo and then when the solo starts to breakdown there is another guitar in the background complimenting it. I definently liked the first part of the recording though.

  10. Pink Floyd's #1 to me. My favorite album is probably The Wall but I've been taking a long break from it, now I'm listening to Dark Side of the Moon and The Final Cut more. I just can't believe that I still don't have Live in Pompeii, the only DVD I don't have. My favorite songs are probably Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell, Time, and One of These Days. For some odd reason I've never gotten into anything before the 70's except for Interstellar Overdrive.

  11. I don't like Fall to Pieces at all, I Am the Highway is better. I really never listen to either though, I'm more into the songs like Dirty Little Thing, Slither, Cochise, and Show Me How to Live. The Last Remaining Light is the only softer song that I really like.

  12. Thank You - Stone Temple Pilots

    Contraband - VR

O' Yea Ultimate Aerosmith Hits - Aerosmith

I've discovered that it's really easy to get my friends into STP and some of those people drift over to Contraband eventually. Aerosmith's just got a good collection of songs that could grip people.

  13. i wanna see how long american idiot actually lasts and is remembered..u2's stuff is still good and new people are discovering it all the time...that's like the usher songs that were popular 4 years ago..nobody remembers them..just while they had their spotlight... :krider:

Good point. I knew about Green Day years ago and didn't care they existed but I started listening to U2 like last month and I'm on the verge of aquiring a few CDs already.
