Well, I'd be glad to help but I've just started listening to jazz this year- I started off with some of the early jazz musicians and then to the modern kinds.

I started off with some Louis Armstrong- one of the more well-known jazz musicans. And then it sort of evolved.

Get started with these musicians, my favorites :

Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Ella Fitzgerald.

Ah- But I see you're into the Bossa Nova? Are you talking about the Brazilian style of music that evolved from American Jazz- kind of like the Samba?

I've listened to that kind- and I love it- have you heard of Sergio Mendes?

dani california was the only song that would appeal to me as a single. definitely not one of their better albums!

Au Contraire with me- I didn't think it was boring- just a lot of the songs sounded the same as each other but I liked the overall outcome of the album- I have about 5 faves. I agree with someone earlier who said it would have been better if it were cut down to one album.
