GN’R resorting to backing tracks now, what is this sorcery?!

Must be one of those Mandela Effect things. I distinctly remember that he and his partner split sometime around 2010 or 2011 and he and Kat got involved shortly after. Could have sworn there were extremely couply pics in both of their social media accounts. Either they wiped it all very effectively or I’m just wrong. 😂
I think you’re right as I remember talk of them being together as well from around this period.

Another positive review (Financial Times):
aptly named 2021 single “Absurd” — a well-earned chance to scream obscenities at the golden circle enclosure

Bern event tee is up.
On another note, the sweat pants are 20 quid cheaper on the Merch Truck site compared with at the show where they were priced at 70!

Better late than never, but the show was fuckin' awesome on Friday night, it's my 6th time seeing them since 2017.
The overall enjoyment of the performance lives and dies by Axl as far as I am concerned and that is what makes this latest tour leg seem to stand out so much and this is especially the case when you are there live and even after watching Glastonbury live on TV over here.
At one point about a quarter of the way into the show I was thinking to myself, this is the best and closest I am going to get to the UYI days or some semblance of what it was like and again it comes down to Axl and his stage presence this time around. His signature moves making reappearances as best he can for his age, the constant moving and sprinting across the length and breadth of the massive Hyde Park stage, all tied together by the shape he is in, the best yet by the looks of things since this whole new chapter began in 2016.
Of course, no GN'R concert review can go without some mention of Axl's vocals and of course they are not going to compare to the prime of his career, but like many seem to mention and I would wholeheartedly agree, live in concert and with the right sound mix they can come through much more powerful and punchy then you are expecting from watching audience recorded YouTube clips and the like. This was certainly the case at Hyde Park and I can totally see why some whether long time fans or casuals had commented that he sounded the best he has in 20 something years, as facetitious as that may sound to any of us of course.
Overall though I was thoroughly satisfied and entertained moreso than I thought I would be coming into this show and that was even after knowing some of the lesser played cuts they have introduced to the setlist now would be making an appearance.
I dare say based on this current Euro-form Axl is going to really surprise fans and audiences on the US leg of this tour and I hope the band capatilises by dropping a new song then.

I think he was just shooting them because they were in town, I wouldn't read too much into that
I think probably for Classic Rock Magazine, his pics will appear in a gig review, that's my bet anyway

London had an outside merch stand which opened before the gates into the venue, that’s where the lithos were initially available from.

More merch pics from yesterday in Hyde Park, London:
This was the supposed “main” merch stand within the GA area although they never had any lithographs for sale from the get-go, unlike the VIP area stand , but they did have the London event artwork tee and this is where I needed to get it from. The 200 quid bomber jacket is a piece I’ve not seen pictured or mentioned anywhere previously, it looked nice and would have did well with the shitty London’s summer day on offer yesterday.
I genuinely felt sorry for some of the fans and obvious collectors that had queued up with their poster tubes in tow only to be greeted with no lithos at all for sale. Heard some say they were queuing to get in since 8am, guess they should have been at the North end outside merch rather than to get into GA first… in any case some very pissed off punters and I couldn’t blame them!

VIP merch where I thankfully snagged a litho in London, I’m now 7/7 for London lithos since ‘17 (think that right?!):

Don't think I've seen guns on stage that early if it's accurate! This is the evening standard with the schedule
The curfew is super strict at BST/Hyde Park.
I need to remember to get my Nightrain Passport stamped tomorrow!

Is there a tour book this year? Always like them.
Not seen any evidence one exists, in fact haven't seen anything like that since the '16/'17 leg, I got one from the early entry/VIP pack on the '17 Euro tour.

Had an email from them this morning asking to complete my purchase as I obviously couldn’t complete the transaction last night. Just clicked on the link in the email and despite the truck being closed now, it went through fine. So check your inboxes or spam folders.
That's good to hear it went through, what did you pick up, the Glasto tee?

Axl did that on their first tour of the UK, I believe it was the Kerrang office.
