Pit is the place to be. Fuck everything else. And don't you dare to come back liking the show. ;-)

I know I will love the show. I've never denied they put on a great show. They do, that's the truth. I just take advantage of my right to criticize how I feel it could be better with very minimal effort and change.

I picked this show though cause it's LA and it's the Forum and it's Saturday  night. They could play all Backstreet Boys and One Direction covers and it would kick ass given the setting and circumstances.

When I saw the title of the thread, I thought "This sonofabitch is gonna end up seeing GN'R" :lol::lol:

Having said that, I've been in GA Pit 2 for this tour as well as the seats you've got circled on the lower side of the bowl. If the price is the same, I'd say go with the tickets that are just behind GA Pit 2.

:lol:I hear ya. Thing is I had a buddy tell me tonight he wants to see GnR on this tour and I said the only way I'd go is if it's in LA and he said ok. So here we are...........

Despite our past differences I trust you Russ.. What would you say about being in the Pit? Am I better off front row just outside the pit or better off inside the pit?

After 3+ hours long show - there are complaints about 30 seconds of Pink singinig :D

And one doesn't sound bad in that outro, she's one of those pop singers that probably with some effort sing some soft rock  - but her look in the end tells: "How can he hold his screem so f'ckin long ?!?"

My complaint is a combinations of many things and what they say about this band at this point in time. If one can't see that they're a fucking idiot. Pink coming out doesn't piss me off at all in itself but it's everything else added to it. Duet with her, don't just step aside during the best vocal part of the song.

And this fucking gospel some of you preach about three hour shows is such fucking bullshit. Shut the fuck up. They play 11 goddamn covers.  When they start playing 3 hours of original GnR songs then hold the torch high otherwise stop with this 3 hour badge you so proudly display as if other bands could learn a thing or two. It's GnR delusional fan bullshit.

  4. Pink has a fantastic voice and she's a kickass performer but to be honest the problem with this is Axl gave her the best vocal part of the song. She sang the part that everyone in attendence waits to hear Axl sing. It's the best part of the fucking song and he stepped aside for Pink.

Fucking christ. Axl tries harder and sounds better in AC/DC than he does with GnR, The fucking band does like 11 goddamn covers per set which is fucking stupid to be honest and now Axl is giving one of the best vocal spots in all of GnR's catelogue away to a guest singer? It's so fucking asinine. Axl Rose is literally taking the piss out of GnR fans.

  5. I think it looks badass and I liked that it just gave us more questions than answers. I like the tease of Kylo killing Leia and I actually hope it plays out that way as I think it would be fitting for her to go out the same way Han did and it would make Kylo so evil and completely unredeemable and also solves issues with casting and story as far as Leia is concered in Episode 9. The teas eof Kylo and Rey teaming up..... meh. Obviously a cut and paste to make it seem that way. Rey is most likely talking to Luke and Kylo is probably extending his hand to Snoke or someone else

Oh and I got my tickets tonight to see it in IMAX with massive comfy seats. So pumped up to see this.

  6. CD songs......... Meh. I suppose it's cool they finally switched things up but those songs are just so boring. I can't imagine the lineups for the bathrooms during those songs.

They should play Don't Damn Me. You can't convince me Axl couldn't sing that in a proper non Mickey voice. They've never played it so fucking play it.

There was no answer I want... I am generally curious to see responses on how to fix the problem when a mass murderer acts on his evil ways.   I am not opposed to change at all.  I genuinely do not see the relationship between the changes you proposed and the prevention of this.  Why? Because there was nothing in his checks that would have red flagged him in anyway.  I am not saying change nothing and expect change I was asking how we can prevent a madman from doing this again.  A lot of people think gun laws, sure that is obvious but if we could go back in time what specifically could of possibly prevented this?  I am not sure any side has an answer to that.  If guns themselves were the issue solely we would have a lot more mass murders in Canada wouldn't you agree?  We have millions of gun owners here too.  The route to get a gun here may differ but if your clean you are clean and you get a licence no issue.  It appears there is a line in between law abiding gun owners and evil, this guy stepped over it for unknown reasons.  I think that beyond guns there is something else at play be it mental health, poverty or something we can't see that puts America in trouble with violence.  I don't have an answer but thank you for your response Bono

Of course there is something else at play here. Mental issues, snap shows, Psychos, evil fucking people etc etc. BUT this man purchased all that gear legally. None of the stuff he used should be legal. There is ZERO reason why any human being needs what he had. Just listening to the video clips is horrifying and yet having that kind of fire power was perfectly legal and his right to own it once again is more important to way too many people than the rights to health care of his victims. America has a sick and twisted view on gun. The culture is so perverse it's nearly impossible to imagine it exists in a developed country. You're right though there is more at play. Mental health is a big issue but mental health is this incredible enigma. We haven't even scrathed the surface of understanding it. Guns well those are an inanimate object that we could do something about eve in some small way.

For example, put 100 mentally ill people in a room with 1 gun or 100 guns it doesn't matter. What's the first step to preventing anyone from getting hurt? Curing mental illness or removing the guns?  The answer is obvious and America needs to start looking at a way they can reduce the number of guns and the ease in which people get their hands on them. There is no other way around it other than with some kind of legislation. It will likely be trial and error but at the end of the day something needs to be done, something needs to change. Doing nothing is to spit in the face and on the graves of everyone who's been impacted by such events.

What changes would you like to see that could have prevented this attack?

I'm not gonna bother reading the thread to see what your stance on this is but I'm sorry to say your question is bullshit because we all know there isn't one single change or multiple changes that can prevent this overnight but I'm sure that's the answer you want. People have this tendency to use that as the justification to do nothing. Like if we can't prevent all gun related deaths than what's the point. It's a pointless question really in a  debate where one side refuses to see anything involving "gun control" as anything other than an infringement on their "God given right to bare arms".  My post was very clear and to the point. Changes need to be made that can over time produce results and if not at the very least something should be done to at least experiment in the hopes of producing positive results. America needs to start somewhere rather than nowhere.

Had this guy been a Syrian refugee or had he simply been related to immigrants  or if he had a muslim family the entire right and most gun owners would be screaming their lungs out that changes need to be made to who's allowed into the country. They'd want his family deported, they'd want stronger background checks, they'd want the wall built NOW! They'd want so much new legislation to prevent this yet if anyone dare said maybe we need better background checks when it comes to purchasing guns well holy shit fuck that bullshit. Are you insane? That's my god given right to own a gun, fuck you fuck you fuck you, you idiot liberals.

I could suggest one "simple" change that would possibly strike fear into some people possessing illegal weapons but the pro gun crowd would cry outrage because it would infringe on said "god given right to bare arms".  It's so beyond laughable how tightly people hold onto that "right" yet laugh at the idea of universal health care. Registering a gun is a small thing to do. Fuck sakes we all do it every year with our vehicles so all this bitching and moaning that registering a gun one time is such an infringement is horsehsit.

Start with this. Make it harsh and make it real. All gun owners must register their firearms in their name. It can even be free or $5 or whatever just don't make it some blatant cash grab for the government. Make it so the intent behind the reasoning is genuine. Whatever it is they need to be registered to the rightful owner. ANYONE caught in possession of an illegal or unregistered or not registered in their name firearm faces an automatic 5 years in jail.  Second offence is 15 years.  See how willing people are to be in possession of these guns then. Will it stop all psychotic mass murders? No. Of course not but it might be able to put a dent in the day to day gun deaths in America.

I just gave an extreme example and of course it opens another debate about the number of people already incarcerated but don't sit there and act like NOTHING can be done. There is a lot that could be done if only people weren't such fucking jackasses who felt their right to own a gun supersedes every other human right.

Yes, Abrams buggered Star Trek up the arse and now he is buggering Star Wars up the arse. It is ironic really as he had basically the easiest film ever to make, i.e. a Star Wars film better than the prequels (which of course stunk to high heaven), and he only succeeded in making a worse film than the prequels haha.

The Force Awakens worse than the prequels? Hahahahahaha GTFO

Aren't we overdue for another trailer? We're under 100 days out, and we've still only got one teaser which we got in April...

We'll be getting one in a  few weeks during Monday Night Football. Probably October 9th or 16th

I don't mean to impune something that people dug about this film, but I'm glad it wasn't any more "Amblin," then it already was.

As a hangout film like The Goonies, it had to hit those friendship strides, but this is ultimately a horror film about kids confronting an ancient evil. I felt it didn't need more of that feel-good stuff but more of a nightmarish vibe.

This material is tricky because it has to make you feel joy and fear, one after the other, but I think the people clamoring for more of the kids riding around on bikes listening to Young MC, wanted a film that wasn't meant to be Stephen King's IT.

That or it simply failed on the horror side of things so when the movie flipped from scenes of the feel good "Goonies" vibe to scenes of the nightmarish vibe it became boring and plodding. Probably a big reason why I wanted a different type of movie because as you said it's  ultimately this is a horror film and in that aspect it failed horribly in my opinion.

  11. I saw it last night and was completely underwhelmed by it. I found myself bored half the time. I did really like the chemistry between all the kids and I felt their banter was pretty natural and humorous but aside from that the movie was meh. I'd have liked it better if it was more of an adventure type movies like The Goonies or Stand By Me given the cast of kids was really great but it was like........ it was like The Goonies with a shitty side horror story. I wasn't into this movie at all. 5/10

I saw Bon Jovi. His voice is one note. He doesn't go high or low. It's one pitch. The concert was a bore. Most people were on their cell phones and we had $200 seats. And without Richie there was no Wanted Dead or Alive.

Yeah and we still don't know the real story Richie Sambora left and he and Jon were supposed to be so tight. Please.

I saw Bon Jovi and the concert was great. Tons of energy, lots of fun and the fans were into it. Stop with this lying bullshit that fans at Bon Jovi were bored and just using their cell phones as if fans of other bands don't do the same thing during shows. Why are GnR fans so fucking insecure they have to literally make up bullshit. Nobody believes such nonsense because we all know it's just that. Pure nonsense.

He's not just "not bad." He's really excellent. He and Cena both deserved better than the match last night. It was fine, and had the "big fight feel," but they're both so much better than that match. I'll be honest, I don't even really mind the storyline, but the booking of the match just didn't feel right.

Overall I still enjoyed the show. Most of the matches delivered exactly what I expected and did so well. The Ambrose kickout was absolute horseshit, no doubt about it, but that match was still fine. Glad that feud is ending and the Shield are rumored to be heading for a reunion feud with the Miztourage to jumpstart Roman becoming a Grand Slam champ. The women did a good job of laying the groundwork for the next handful of storylines, Bray/Finn was as good as it was gonna be, and I didn't hate Enzo's win as long as they're turning him tweener/heel. If he's still a baby while low-blowing and stealing the belt....well that'll be garbage. I don't mind the Brock finish either. That's his schtick. "It only takes one." He holds the only protected finish in WWE right now. Is that mostly to make it matter when Roman kicks out of it at Mania? Fuck, probably. And that'll suck. But until then, it lets Brock make other people look strong for an entire match before winning and retaining the belt. Good for him, good for the title, good for the other guy, good for the company. I see the argument here that Braun suffered more from losing than Brock would've. But for what they're doing for that belt right now, I understand the need to have a long, dominant run on a bonafide champ. When Braun finally gets it, and he will, he needs to have it for a long time. So this is probably best for now.

To be honest The Miz's Famouser and Amrbose's Dirty Deeds are pretty damn protected as well.

I liked Brock winning I just think it should've taken two on Braun to get the pin.

  14. Apparently the Shield guys are inVINCEible. I mean for fuck sakes Roman kicked out of 4 AAs and Ambrose kicked out of one of the coolest and most devastating looking tag finishes I've seen in a  LONG time if not ever. It's fucking bullshit. Ambrose kicking out of that ruined the match. Even the guys I was watching with who were cheering for Ambrose & Rollins got pissed off.

And yeah Braun losing to one F5 was fucking stupid. Brock should've had 2-3 minutes of heavy sustained offense and then hit him with back to back F5s . Not one fucking F5 after mounting almost zero offense the entire match

Bon Jovi has way more integrity as a band than GNR lol Even if you dont like it, BJ has been constantly releasing (quality) stuff since day one, Jon has obviously lost his voice but still can deliever a nice experience to his fans, the band lost their main composer and guitarrist but with no drama has just released an album and are doing a sucessful tour, changing their sets often and doing a fine job.

Dont embarasse yourself trying to undermine BJ to praise GNR.

Don't even bother wasting your time. It's what GnR fans do. They know the current and everlasting situation with GnR is beyond lame so the only way they can make themselves feel better is by attempting to prop GnR up by tearing other bands down. I had this entire debate with a few people a couple weeks ago who literally tried to say GnR post 1991 has gone about things better than U2 and Metallica. If that's not pure fuckery I don't know what is.
