If Brain wants his job back, Frank should step down at a certain point.

But you also have Steven around the corner, or Matt Sorum. But Brain is the most badass of them all.

Steven and Matt are hardly just "around the corner." If Axl wanted either of them in the band full-time, they would already be there instead of Frank

Well, in the interview where he recalls recording Chinese, he said he had to learn more than fifty songs...who knows of we’ll ever hear those songs. I hope we do

I remember reading that interview. It had something to do with Josh Freese originally playing all these tracks, but Axl liked the way Brian sounded, so Axl hired someone to write out the entire drum track portions of every song on sheet music so Brian could learn to play them exactly like Josh did note-by-note

Brian is cool, but I would love to hear more of Freese's work with GN'R

I saw NuGnR once early on in 2002  and he did nothing for me.. I can actually still vividly remember a pretty cringe worthy solo.  Just didn't think he was a good fit for Guns N' Roses and his appearance didn't help.  Not saying he is a bad player.. I'm sure he was great in Marilyn Manson.

He's never played with MM. Well, that may not true....he may have played with MM while played with NIN

i would really like to know when and why the music industry thought they could fuck the fan by increasing ticket prices to the price they are now. I routinely see comments on band forums from north american fans who reminince when they saw bands like van halen and maiden in mid 80's in their prime and only paid less than $10.00 for a ticket probably between 3 to 5 bucks and i think those prices were normal. But how the fuck promoters can justify prices being what they are and thats not including VIP pricing. My thoughts are bands wernt getting ripped off back then in terms of pricing  and the economy in some countries hasn't vastly changed. So how did pricing end up the way it has?

When touring became the only way that artists could make money that their label didn't steal from them

  5. Back when Axl would go on stage at 1am for no reason. I remember his rant about saying they wanted him to end the show because of a curfew...well shit Axl, go on stage on time and you wouldn't have to deal with that

I'm glad he's no longer doing that shit

  6. I was there with my gf (while we were in the area on vacation)...what a great show. I used to post a lot more on this board years ago during the nuGNR era, but have just gotten too busy with life and haven't really been around so I haven't been able to keep on top of the GN'R news on this board every since they announced that they were reuniting. The band sounded great. While it sucks that Izzy decided not to re-join, Axl, Slash and Duff all sounded great together...like they haven't even missed a beat. Richard and Frank were also great. The only negative I have about the show is they played too many covers. I'd rather here some more older tunes than most of the covers they played. I was a bit surprised that they even played a few nuGNR tunes. Have Duff or Slash commented on those? Seems kind of odd for them to play those songs.

I honestly don't care who or what a song is really about as long it sounds good to my ears. Unless it's very specific like a rap diss track or something and names are getting called out. Plus if he's cool with playing it then I'm cool with watching it. I probably like the original better but that has nothing to do with it might be about Slash or whatever.

When is Axl going to write his own "No Vaseline"?

Brian is 68 & Axl is like 14 years younger of course there singing abilities are a tad different mate

regardless, he still sounded bad. There's a reason why professional athletes retire when they get older...they just can't do it anymore. Brian sounded like he just couldn't sing anymore

I can't believe some YouTube commenters can still hate on this.  Axl blows recent Brian performances out of the water.  One thing is clear to me tho now.

Maybe Axl doesn't want to sing GNR with full rasp.

So glad to have these recordings.  It's a good time in the forum.. Axl is more productive now than in recent memory and is murdering on stage!  Hope he gets enough vocal rest on his off days.  What an all time great Axl performance this was.  Truly one of the best!

Yeah, I saw some recent performances of Brian and he sounded pretty bad. He had no lungs and couldn't do much.

  10. From all the clips I've heard, he sounds awesome. It's too bad people are still going to shit on him just because. I find it funny how people are looking for refunds. So instead of cancelling the rest of their tour (which would have pissed off the fans), they looked for a replacement. Axl stepped in to help them finish off the tour and people are still pissed. As much as Axl fucks around with his band (going on late, not rehearsing with the band, etc.), he is not going to act like that with ACDC. He's going to do all the gigs and have a great time.

You can't satisfy anyone this days. They always have to bitch and complain about something.

    People can't just be happy.
