speaking as someone who saw GNR in91,92,93 it's really sad how his vocals have deteriorated to  this level. I never got into the nu guns so i didn't know how bad he got, lots of people are saying his voice is the 'best it's been for years' truly amazes and saddens me.I don't mean to be nasty but it is a shock.Sorry.

Just a silly thing to say. You can't compare him to how he was over 20 years ago. Aging takes a toll on everyone.

Just be happy that he's healthy and is in good shape to still be able to tour.

Gilby is about as popular as Hitler on here now. Matt - NB critics above in this very topic. Matt's stock has plummeted drastically since it was apparent he didn't make the hybrid. He was god of the hour on the Hall of Fame thing. And even Izzy - yes, some have dared to criticise Izzy, saying that Fortus is this ''much better player'' (merely subjective), and Izzy has ''no interest in Guns'' (unconfirmed circumstantial speculation). Further, look at the nugnr members who didn't make the hybrid. I know everybody hated Ashba and Pitman anyhow but Stinson, Bumblefoot are about as popular as, well, poor old Gilby Clarke which is about as unpopular as it gets!! All this shite about ''Richard's loyalty'' and ''longevity of service'' could equally apply to them - more so in fact, Tommy - yet they have been dispensed with (by this forum) with barely a parting whimper.

( I cannot believe I am actually defending nugnr members, nugnr being a band a generally loathed, but somebody has to point out these double standards!)

The people who hated nugnr still hate them of course, but they have suddenly found a long lost love for Richard Fortus and Frank. Fortus is being elevated to levels of godliness on here - it is truly absurd. If Ashba was a hack, Fortus was also.

It is like Tony Blair or some seedy political specimen flip-flopping.

Fortus was always pretty well liked here. Him and Tommy were probably the two most popular new guys

Duffs book also says about  all the extras that nobody really wanted but Doug hired yachts and stuff for press that wasn't needed and cost millions,

like the after parties that none of the band except Axl wanted.

I think Duff is pretty rich because of his business acumen, stock and shares like Starbucks and Microsoft.

    yeah, that was a joke.

Cant find anythin. Gnna hold on tight n hope for an opening in floors...

A few years ago, I struck out on 2 Nine Inch Nails pre-sales AND the general public sale. I know your pain. But I just kept going back to the TM website and after 2-3 weeks, they released more tickets and I was able to get some great seats very close to the stage. I checked a few weeks later and they released more floor tickets....

this whole thing is almost hard to believe. Even when a place is 'sold out' you can often pick up a single ticket in some obscure location. Can't even do that.

    too early to start drinking?

It happens a lot now with computerized bots. They buy up all the tickets right away in order to scalp them.

No need to panic though. As I said before, more tickets will be released in the coming weeks. Plus, there's the rumours of a 2nd show being added

  6. I wouldn't panic if you didn't get tickets yet. They always release more tickets in the upcoming weeks, and a lot of them turn out to be in good locations (including some GA floor tickets). Venues don't relase a certai namount of tickets in order to give them to the media and whatnot, but it's always too much, then they release them to the public afterwards. Not to mention there are always fans on various GN'R message boards that end up having an extra ticket for various reasons. Plus, if need be, there's always StubHub

We've waited 20 years for Slash to return to GN'R. We've waited 23 years to hear some of these songs live again ("Double Talkin' Jive"). Now everything we wanted is coming to fruition. Even Mother Goose and a third guitarist are things of the past. Quit the bitchin'. You dig what I'm sayin', home fucks? #GnFnR

And you know what? There are people out there that will still complain....

  8. Axl's whole going on late shtick is a joke

Yep. There's nothing, zero, nada, absolutely nothing cool about it. Those who think otherwise are just those typical Axl brownosers who justify everything Axl does as being the last true real legendary dangerous rock star with integrity. Lol.

For sure, it's hard to grasp that an adult man can be so disrespectful towards his fans and everyone around. It always made me wonder whether he's just a really selfish person or if there is something autistic going on with him.

I love Axl, but there's really no friggin reason for him to wait hours after the openers and go on stage at midnight or later. It's inconsiderate, especially if the show is on a weekday. I've seen many bands play live (NIN, Marilyn Manson, Motley Crue, Trooper, Nazareth, Crash Test Dummies, and so forth...) and only Manson made us wait for a while after the opening band (and it wasn't his fault). They all played 2 hour set lists and were done by 11pm at the latest.

It's my biggest pet peeve about going to a GN'R show.
