THANK YOU, people are acting like it's 1350 and this is the Black Death.

If I learned one thing about my country during all this is that they're racists, selfish, they don't care about facts or reading into things, they believe everything they read on social media and they're scared of everything "foreign" and "unknown".

People are actually asking if it's possible to jail or sue the first coronapatient in the Netherlands for spreading the disease even further.

I'm not a fan of my people, or most people in general.

  2. I'm getting tired of all the corona bullcrap. People panicking over practically nothing. I do seem to be the only person who thinks that it wouldn't be too bad if 10-25% of the world population died out. We are overpopulated, this virus is showing that once again.

Well, it's a shame that youtube links are no longer allowed, but by Abu Dhabi in dec 2010 Axl was already starting to struggle a bit with his voice. His performance was still very acceptable, specially by todays standards, but there was already a very noticeable difference from earlier shows such as the acoustic ones or Paris or Budapest.

It's more prominent on some songs than it is in others. YCBM for instance is a great example. In Arnheim, Budapest or Dublin Axl gave monstrous, full on rasp versions of it. By Abu Dhabi he was already full mickey on it. There are other songs where the fall is apparent (Better, RQ), but YCBM is the clearest one.

I went to the Arnhem show, that's the best I heard Axl do live. He was on fire that night. Spent half of the raspy part of Don't Cry trying to get a piece of gum from under his shoe without losing a note or going Mickey.

Where'd that guy go, and where was he when CD was recorded :(

I added CD because it works as an opener, but I don't think it should be on a GH album tbh.

I can't predict, but my hope is-

New single on the morning of 01/31

News that morning that an album is soon to follow the single

The NITL line up plays a kick ass show that night which features a drastically changed setlist

Axl turns in an ACDC level performance for the Fox cameras

Some sort of sustainable, positive buzz is created

    The forum erupts in joy

This would be the best possible scenario. But after these past few years it got harder for me to believe that Axl still got what it takes to deliver. AFD and UYI Axl are long gone, I'm affraid that CD Axl is kinda gone too.

  6. I really don't get the love for State Of Grace, I can't hear Slash doing anything on that song. Not in a million years.

I'm not a fan of Slash doing CD songs either, it's not up his alley at all.

The one leak I feel like it could be a true GN'R song is Oklahoma. I'm not saying all leaks sucked, not at all. But I can't imagine Slash on any of it.

So I really want to hear what the next album would bring, if there even will be an album.

For me, Bridge School is the absolute worst case scenario followed ever so closely by RIR 2011.

Here's hoping whatever gets broadcast is a far cry from either.

    +1

But NuAxl had a run of pretty bad first few shows these past tours, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

I wish I could say that I feel like Axl will be bringing his A game because 2020 will be the year of new music. But this is GN'R, optimism doesn't seem to belong.

How can you tell if a voice has been autotuned? Sorry for the dumb question, but I've never understood how people can tell this sort of stuff.

You probably can't hear it because every fucking artist is using it. But you can hear it on CD during songs like Better, Street Of Dreams and Scraped (from the top of my head).

There's some very unnatural vocal stuff on that album and on pretty much any album by any artist nowadays.

Edit: What's worse is that they're using it live because not 1 singer / rapper has talent and can sound OK live.
