Well even if it is ready to be released, that doesnt mean either the record company or GN'R want it released yet, they want to focus their current efforts towards Chinese Democracy I, and after a 14 year wait, no one can blame them. They'll release CD II when they've finished with this one. And not to mention that DJ will probably be included in the next album, so his parts need to be recorded...

. And I simply disagree with anyone who says this album was poorly produced or mastered.

The thing is the OP is asuming the next album is finisshed and ready to go...we've had NO uggestions that is the case..a few song titles thrown around, a 30 second clip, nothing else. It's not the record companies fault if theres no new album to even promote. An people are being too criticial of the company as well i think....yeah they may have botched the release up, but what record company realistically would give any band a 14 year open budget, keep them on after a failed tour (2002), and generally give complete artistic fredom...the company has fucked many things up..but they cant be criticised for that point IMO

Como estais amigos is actually the only song I don't find worthless on Virtual XI. Still not a good song. it is "listenable" if you get what I mean.

i think blaze is truely underated though, he was a decent frontman for maiden, though he wasnt bruce, he did his best. In fact, the best songs on the two albums he was on are the ones he helped write. His solo albums are all ace too

i say get the ticket, if they announce more dates, you can sell the festival tickets, but if you miss this chance and these are their only UK dates, you'll be screwed or have to pay astronomical amonts for new tickets

Band is tighter, thanks to DJ largely, he album is out, new songs to play, not such a 'burden' on the band, axl has a new fire in him....this is undoubtably the best so far!

Its good they are doing the festivals but hope its not only the festivals they will be doing when they come to the UK

I don't really want to pay the price for a festival ticket because i'm not interested in the other bands i only want to see GnR, so hopefully they will announce some of their own tour dates

I know what you mean, i didnt wanna spend £89 on a day ticket, but it's GN'R, and theres no guarantee other dates will be added yet, so im not taking the risk, especially as tickets are selling so fast, so ive got my leeds ticket, and am loosely considering going to reading too
