Can you feel the TWAT vibe on this one?
Big time. I'm loving the intros and/or outros on all of these.

Days like today make up for all the shit we put up with as GNR fans.
Every single day for the past 20 odd years the first thing I do in the morning is check for Guns news/leaks. Often felt like we'd never hear anything again. This is legitimately surreal.

I think the weak and whiny vocals in the beginning are as they were intended to be. To me it sounds like the song goes from whiny sad Axl and builds up to mega pissed off rip your head off screaming Axl
Absolutely. Can't understand how anyone could think differently. Same with the alternate weak/triumphant verses on Scraped.

Haha, yup. I'm bamboozled by the number of people loving Atlas.
The vocal on the first 'remember your naaaaaame' is sick but it starts fading out as he transitions higher and higher. Sounds awesome.
Imagine him doing this in live 2002 when he had the powerful falsetto/head voice mastered (nobody said Mickey until 2011).

Very Bowie-esque both vocally and musically in a similar way to Mechanical Marilyn Manson was. Disagree totally that it's a lazy/phoned in vocal etc in the verses. Very clearly trying another sound and style. Very cool. Even without seemingly finished lyrics in the high parts he's totally going for it. Sounds fucking awesome.
I love this.

HOB 2001 was a far better performance than Rock In Rio. And on top of it, it's the first GN'R show since 1993, not the second.
I do agree about the following year, though. I've always been intrigued with these shows.
Sure, he wasn't running around a giant stage all night and having endless monitor issues. But they didn't play Madagascar which really sucks because he sounded absolutely amazing at Rio until he decided to run during the scream and then copped out of the high notes after that. In 2002 on Madagascar his voice never had that rich, deep tone from Rio. I just imagine he still had that in December '01.

I really, really don't understand the interest people had for this audio to leak as a 'Holy Grail' thing. Yeah, it's pro-shot which is cool , but it's the exact same Axl voice and look from Rio two weeks later and we already had good audio.
But nobody ever mentions the two anomalous shows on 29th and 31st December a year later for which we have ZERO audio, nevermind video. Axl was ripped, looked amazing with long, non-braided hair and it was over 6 months away until the 2002 tour. We have no idea what he sounded like and how he would have moved around being both in 1992 shape and without the cumbersome, awkward braids.

Insiders say that Axl lost 20+ pounds and is in best vocal shape of his life.
This made me more excited than the leaks for 5 seconds until I realised you're joking.

I hadn't even looked at the "Truth" site for years because it was all hidden anyway but a post on reddit piqued my interest so I had a look and it's all public again and there is absolutely nobody there. It's a ghost town. That total wanker M**o has fucked literally everyone off. The whole first page is just threads by him with no replies except from what is blatantly an alt account of him talking to himself/herself.

All this excitement has got me watching the VMAs with a blown up Axl sucking wind and wondering how different things might have been had 2010 Axl gone back in a time machine.

It is a rough demo of a work in progress song, I think that expectations for this in the case of some people are a bit high.
People get this idea of the phrase "big gun" in their head and think that their listening experience will be 10x that of November Rain while drinking the best single malt scotch on Christmas Day, when in reality it is just a song - and in this case a song that is not properly mixed, not finished recording, and might be way more fully fleshed out by the time Bumble got to working on it in 2007
Good shout. But tbf we're all listening and posting in real time as we figure shit out. No other hardcore fans of a high profile artist have ever had to deal with what we have.

It's slowly growing on me. Just wish the vocals were clear and up front.
Check out all dem lurkers down there. That's a lot of fuckers who'd rather drop a ton on a Chinese box than AFD gimmick

The thing is, this album was intended to sound the way it did. The way he sung was intentional, not because he screwed his voice up.
”that doesn’t sound like Axl Rose, That doesn’t sound like Guns n’ Roses, but you’ll like a few songs on there.”
100% But given the backlash in 2002 to the clean voice and him gong rasp '06 and chainsaw '10 i'd like to think he's put some vocals down since then that are more Angel Down/TIL Remix.

I’m happy that now everyone has a clear picture as to how this album was intended to sound almost 20 years ago.
Think about that for a second. 20 years ago.
Yup. Axl's lack of ability to release more music plus spending his best vocal years singing to die-hards in arenas whilst mostly promoting Appetite is a legit musical tradgedy.

Maybe this is also a subtle shot at the forums for airing the “dirty laundry” via leaks
Hmmmm! Anyone in the know think that could be a real possibility?

Apparently I should explain that it's Russ - TCB.... As in, my name +Elvis' motto of "TCB" LOL.
Haha, had to Google that reference. My boss is called Russ and privately we affectionately call him Rusty Buckets lol.
Do you have any idea what state TB/Axl/Guns camp are in over all this? I'm guessing it's either a non-issue or total meltdown, nothing inbetween.

Michael Jackson released NINE fucking singles from Dangerous with zero b-sides ranging across an absolutely crazy amount of styles.
Jam
Black or White
Give In To Me
Gone Too Soon
Heal The World
In The Closet
Will You Be There
Remember The Time
Who Is It
If we're talking '99-'01 with proper video treatments, full label support, award shows and tv appearances, interviews, magazine covers etc etc etc they could have released loads of stuff from Chinese.

Has any deciphered the lyrics yet?
Rusty Buckets says someone told him years ago they're about Robin leaving. They really do fit that context. I'm not sure about timeline though as it was mentioned early on as a title.
Could do with a higher 'Like' allowance on days like this.

Chinese, Riad, The Blues and Catcher all could've been hits.
There's a ton of reasons why 2008 went the way it did.
I don't understand people saying no singles. The record is drenched in melodies and hooks. To me Madagascar is an instant grab you by the throat mega-hook.

Dude. I went to Uni in September 2002. Was still high off the new songs from January 01 and going to the Euro shows in summer '02. Then the US tour started and on my shitty dial up I could usually just about download an mp3 of a live version of Madagascar from each show before it kicked me off after an hour XD I spent my first year at Uni walking around listening to those 2002 boots and soundboards and it got me through some shite.
Big time. It is fucked that he's had to sit on this for two decades.
