Could we please bring a list of questions to them and not 100 questions about new music?

I think by asking so many questions about new music proves a point. The community simply wants some new music.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing on behalf of a very large group of fans from the popular GNR fansite mygnrforum.com. Back in 2008, Axl registered under the username Dexter and granted a Q&A of sorts with the members of MyGNR. It was an unprecendented move for a major international rock star to reach out to his fanbase in such a personal manner and meant a great deal to many fans at the time.

Recently an idea arose for fans to vote on the ten questions we'd most like to put to Axl. Five years on since Axl last reached out to the fans on MyGNR, we are writing to request that our ten questions be submitted to Axl for his consideration.

MyGNR remains the largest and most popular GNR forum on the internet with over 42,000 dedicated, loyal Guns N Roses fans who follow the bands every move. A Q&A with Axl would mean so much to our members all over the world, who merely want to reach out to the leader of their favourite band.

Below are the ten questions as voted for by the members of mygnrforum.com:

Discussion is totally fine, linking to them on YouTube is OK, posting direct links for download isn't permitted. Not really relevant here.

Thanks for clarifying - yeah I guess it isn't really related to this change, I was just curious since we were never really given any direct stance from you guys.

Anyways, I enjoy the changes. I only ever have time to read News and Discussion, so the more threads here the merrier.

Isn't that precisely what an anniversary is? Something that occurs annually (i.e. every year)?

I voiced on page two that I felt Beta's comments were uncalled for.

However, we are not going to tolerate people calling her nasty, vulgar names. I get that the vibe right now isn't totally positive and that people are just waiting for opportunities like this to lash out, but Beta being rude to fans doesn't warrant some of the vulgarity I've seen so far. From here on out please refrain from such comments -- and if you have to ask yourself what kinds of comments I'm referring to, then you probably already know.

Read my post above - criticism is one thing, and I actually agree that in this case it is warranted, and if people want to agree or disagree they have a right to do so.

But calling her - or anyone else in the band - vulgar names as earlier in this thread is just another thing altogether, and that's not deserved and won't be tolerated.

Exactly. Plus unwarranted criticism isn't going to prove anything. I think the message here is that Axl and management don't really care that the fans what a new album. So much that they consider it "complaining," which is kind of upsetting.

I answered her, in portuguese, and explained that I'm not complaining, I'm just asking what everyone wants: new music.

I stated that yes, everyone who goes to the shows enjoys them, and that although I'm "complaining", if I had the chance I'd definetly see them live again, despite being the same exact show from 2 and 3 years ago when I saw them. But it's very easy for them to please the "real" fans: new music. And they don't have to waste time recording, because shey have enough finished songs for a whole album. I mentioned Better Gone and Blood In The Water as an indication that the slightest form of new music makes everyone really excited, imagine an actual brand new unreleased new song release, rather than a leaked remix.

I doubt she'll answer to that. But she was indeed kind of disrespectful, it would have been better if they simply didn't say anything. I mean, she didn't answer the "question"... If you have nothing good to say just keep your mouse shut.

Don't you see how ironic your last comment is ManetsBR, you were a bit disrespectful to her in the first place when you didn't get the answer you 'asked' for (ie. demanded) - a pleasing answer to your 'question', speaking on behalf of 'everyone'... so you savage her publicly with this thread. Would you NOT have made a similar thread if she HAD totally ignored you? I wonder...

It doesn't matter - the manager of a band has no right to be disrespectful even if a fan is calling names and making rude remarks. It's just not professional.

This. That's upsetting that the manager of the band responded the way she did to the fans. If every GNR fan were to see that comment, would there even be any more fans?

As someone above me said, if a restaurant manager were to say that to their customers, it would be all over the news and the business would cease to exist. That is no way to treat customers.

It looks like Dj Ashba played a couple of levels of Grand Theft Auto Vice City, couldn't grasp the fact you can't swim so went and designed a GNR tee in the style of the game. And somehow convinced Axl it was swag.

I've asked the mods multiple times but never got a definitive answer yet: are we allowed to post the leaks yet since Chinese Democracy is already coming up to a 5 year anniversary? We are allowed to share the Appetite and UYI demos, why not CD?

I first noticed this when I tried to find fan forums for some of my other favorite bands. I had just assumed there was an equivalent "MyGNR" forum for "Band A." After a few minutes of google searching I found out how wrong I was. GNR has such a unique fan base.

The photos are from 2004-2005, By that time, Finck was still in GNR.

I asked before for this but no one seems to have them. I remember those very well, trent was making fun of 2002 Axl, like he was hidden in their studio.

Axl "was" in a mirror and Buckethead was in the crowd at a NIN concert if I remember correctly.

Wasn't there some picture of trent at some computer with chinese democracy written on the screen and blurred out song titles as well?

There was a picture of the band standing backstage with a sign behind them that said Chinese Democracy.

It would have been 2006/2007. I recall NIN touring in Europe at the time and I had the original GNR leaks. I'm thinking late 2006 or early 2007.

went to the NIN thread on htgth. the original pictures was gone but there was a close up of the computer screen with blurry song titles. posted 6th january 2007.

When did we find out Sorry was a song title? If The Blues were named Street of Dreams, or there was another song we didn't know about at the time I'd say he had CD, or some version of it...which is probably what he was trying to make people think......I follow NIN religiously and I never did find out exactly why he suddenly started teasing GNR...I heard Trent make a comment about Axl being a bloated recluse with glued on hair in 2005 and he recalled opening for GNR being a nightmare due to the fans not liking NIN, but I don't know of any personal issue between the two, outside of fighting over Robin....

I don't think we would have known If The World at that time either.
