Yeah and about the question.. certainly yes. It's very easy to write catchy hit. The songs of mine that are considered hits are the worst ones in my eyes and we play them only because people want to hear that shit.

To be able to create something as new, deep and fresh as Chinese Democracy at Axl's age is a real effort.

Yeah. Axl could write 14 catchy hits, but he's fuckin' artist so he won't ever do that and that's why I love Guns.

It takes so much emotions and energy to create something of the artistic quality of Chinese Democracy. Axl could mechanically create generic catchy songs (like AC/DC did on their last album), it wouldn't last 14 years, it maybe would please generic radio listeners but it would have nothing to do with what music and art is about. Quality of music has nothing to do with the fact whether it's radio-friendly and hit or not.

Axl still cares and he's still tryin' to do his best how he feels it, he tries to be true to himself. That's something that you can see very rarely.

you know I believe that Axl is a real artist, not only a good musican. You can hear it in his songs n' lyrics n' melodies that there is something more into it than just music. DJ Ashba said once that it's amazing just to hear Axl improvising on the piano. That's when the best music really comes up - when you are not tryin, not even willing to make music, to make music that someone likes, not to be heard or liked. Sadly, in it's definition, this music is never to be heard by us, by public cus in the moment he would want to record it for public, it wouldn't be the same. The real art is not for public, but for the artist himself.

DJ is hungry for publicity. Ron doesnt want fans to be excited when nothing is for sure. Probably they are really talkin about that but that means nothing.Still it would be really cool if they really started to work on REALLY new stuf together.

Guns N' Roses would be great title. If there will be a hit song named Guns N' Roses, it would be really cool too. It's important to let everyone know, that this is GNR, this is the band that is on the top of the game again. But I don't expect Axl to name album or song like that ever. Te title will be something with deeper meaning.

nice!. This is something I really like to see happenin. The song is cool, they obviously didnt want to do anything huge, but its still tasty. But the thing that they just did this while touring, only for fun, thats just great. They ARE a band. You just cant deny it.

I would never play in Izrael with my band. The fact that someone was killing them in 40s should not mean that they can do what they are doin nowadays. They attacked a A HOSPITAL in palestina with CHEMICAL weapons. None has done that barbarous things like Izraels in past decades.

A lot of those vox were re-recorded by Axl in 1999 and he sounded raspy and powerful, even though he used a falsetto. Just two years later and his voice is weak as hell all falsetto and no rasp.

it's not the same to sing live and in the studio. I believe he could have done great studio performance at any point of past 15 years.

I dont know what happened but the blues/s.o.d and madagascar sounded their best in 2001/2002.

Hell yeah..especially madagascar sounded so fucking great the way he used to sing. The vocals on the older demo are also much better than the rasp on final version of madagascar on CD.The song has lost a lot of its potential with the rasp. I wonder why he decided to start to sing it with the rasp.
