I think this shows that laut.de is quiet large and important, so perhaps they really managed to get a listen to Chinese Democracy. But, as usual in the GNR-world: only time will tell...

But don't forget that GNR are to play Rock am Ring. (This concert will not be officially announced until March because then the tickets for RaR will cost € 130 instead of € 120 ).

RaR is from 06/02 - 06/04, and Guns were supposed to play Gods of Metal on 06/04. Given the fact that Rock am Ring and Rock im Park (also from 06/02 - 06/04) are twin festivals and normally all bands play at BOTH of this festivals (on different days of course), perhaps the timing did not fit in for Rar, RiP AND GoM, and that's because GNR won't be at Gods of Metal.

I could imagine that Axl is not willing to play 3 days in a row, like:

06/02 RaR

06/03 RiP

06/04 GoM

Of course, this is all speculation at this time; if GNR only plays RaR but not RiP (or no RiR at all - which would surprise me) I don't see why they wouldn't play Gods of Metal.

Guess we'll have to wait and see...

i do like axl's vocals that come in at 2:52 though

Solo at 3:40 sounds like Robin for me. And yes, that's the best solo in this song!

I think whoever leaked the 2 clips of better already had the full version at that time but wasn't willing to share it then for whatever reasons.

This leak does not necessearily mean that more leaks are to come, imo.

And I'd like to say: No more leaks please! Save the rest of the songs for CD!

The decisions on release dates are being made in the US. I would seriously doubt if anyone in germany is in the loop on what's going on. It just sounds like someone is jumping on the bandwagon of all the news we've been getting to make stuff up and hopefully be close to what is actually announced.

But consider the guy giving the information is the board's admin with over 13.000 (!) posts. I don't think he would just pull a release date out of his ass.

And to the people arguing about the quality of Estranged or whatever: Calm down, there is no right or wrong in this debate, you can't say: this or that song is better than another in an objective way, it's a matter of personal taste.

I for myself could judge if TWAT is better than Estranged just when I'd knew this song for many many years (just like Estanged) and it still gives me something and doesn't get boring.

But at the moment, TWAT is new and I'm in love with this song!

This song is one class better than anything Velvet Revolver had delivered.

Well, I don't think IRS-single in March makes much sense. GNR, the whole band, had to come together and shoot a video and promo photos and stuff like that right now. Honestly, I don't see this happening so soon, given the fact that many band members have planed solo activities for the next weeks.

I find it really bizarre that Slash keeps making comments about CD's release date. I mean, it's one thing for him to mention it in one interview - where he casually commented that he'd heard it would be released in March. But - for him to continue making this comment in multiple interviews - even after Axl's party statements - seems really strange.

Does anyone else think - perhaps - Slash is trying to get Axl's attention so that Axl will pick up the phone and talk to him? I honestly can't think of any other logical reason Slash would continue promoting the release of Axl's album. And Slash's comments - where he's letting GNR fans know first about the release - would certainly get Axl's attention.

Well, it def would be great if this was the case. But assuming that this is the goal, Slash is trying to reach, is most probably wishful thinking.

I don't say that these exact rumours about RiR or Italy have to be true. But there are so many incidents going on at the moment (Axl is out in public again, Rolling Stone interview, Slash stating CD is ready for release in March, now these festival rumours) that I might think that in 2006 at least anything really substantial will happen. This may be one or another concert, a new song for a soundtrack, perhaps even the release of Chinese Democracy.

My prediction would be that 2006 won't be a dead year like 2003, 2004 and 2005 were. Anyone with me?

Lol... just because he's not wearing the jerseys on a particular day doesn't mean "they're gone". The man has been known to wear jeans too. He doens't have on jeans in these pics... does that mean they're gone too?!

Well, I have to admit you have a point there. But I think it's the first time since 2002 that Axl makes an public appearance without wearing an oversized football or hockey jersey. Only exception would be the pics where he is shopping with Beta. But that time he could not expect to have his photo taken.

So, let's say: At least that night the jerseys were gone.

It's just that there is no new music to talk about, and there have been a hell lot of discussions about all the old songs (and the "new" ones from 2002) already. So- when there is a new photo, why not giving one's thoughts about Axl's fashion style?
