Let's agree to disagree then. Maybe the band (with the exception of Bumble) enjoyed it? St Tropez and a laid back wedding gig sound like a lot of fun to me!

Then the band should go to St Tropez on their own time. GNR a wedding band? On the same bill as Bryan Adams? Very rock n roll, very dangerous!

Was Axl on time? I bet my ass he was since he had a 7 figure paycheck coming, but when the fans are paying the money he obviously couldn't give a fuck..

This is all my opinion though, I had the same reaction when John Lydon did a butter commercial and Dylan sold underwear. Axl can do whatever the fuck he wants, I just want a new record.

Exactly - it's refreshing to see someone that isn't a blatant 'yes man'. Someone that knows they have the talent to move on and do other things and to barely look back. He knows Axl needs him more than he needs Axl I guess

I'd just like to reiterate that I really do love Axl and I fucking adore Chinese Democracy..

My only beef with him is his failure to strike while the irons hot and his apparent lack of interest in producing anything new..

Again, I love the man and will be following him in whatever he does. I'll be first in line to buy the red panda album.

If you don't care about GNR anymore, that's cool. There is no rule that says you have to care about a band forever. I'm sure there are other bands you care about and you could spend your time discussing them on sites devoted to them.

How many times can we hear Paradise, Knockin', You Could Be Mine, etc live? Well, for most people, they only get a chance to hear them live maybe 2-3 times per decade, if they're lucky? So obviously, not enough.

If that's the case for some, fantastic

If the show is one third appetite, one third illusions and one third Chinese, how is it a 95% hits show?

Admittedly I may be off on 95%, but even when it was the CD tour, we were getting 3-4 CD songs some nights

If he was GNR's primary songwriter, how are the hits not his?

They are as much the rest of the bands. Wasn't Axl's reason for leaving GNR musical differences, yet 15 years later people are still coming to hear those opening chords of Jungle, that's his main source of income and people's main attraction.

MSL, my post is my opinion. Go to a 100 shows if you want, have a blast.

Axl's 50 dude, if we got to wait 6 more years for a new record that would be pretty depressing, time's wasting, it's a shame it is.

It's just so hard to care about this current GNR.

How many times can we hear Paradise, Knockin, You could be mine. Sure they are awesome live etc, but what else are they but a cover band? Even the new guys are covering other peoples shit..

Axl is literally a touring jukebox right now, it's a 95% hits show and those hits are not his. I chose to follow Axl because his vision excited me, I think he's a genius and I believed he had a plan, the last year or so I've lost all faith in the guy. He obviously has no idea what he's doing, the tours are obviously cash grabs and honestly he really doesn't give a fuck..I'm also starting to think he's a megalomaniac

When you hear things like Jack White might be releasing a collab with Radiohead, Jay Z and Kanye will doing a 'watch the throne' 2, numerous, exciting things happening in music it's hard to give a fuck about Axl and his meaningless touring.

It's also painful to see the band get restless. When I came out of the GNR show in Dublin back in 2010, I did two things, first wrote on here about how excited I was for the future (yes I made a thread about it), then booked tickets to see them In London a few weeks later. That was 2 years ago and NOTHING has happened, not even a sign they are recording in the studio.

The future is bleak people and some of you think Axl is doing everything right, pathetic, you're just as bad as the yes men who surround him.
