  1. Guitar Center Sessions featuring Slash with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators airs on May 18, at 9pm in 2D hi-definition on Directv's The Audience Network (channel 239) and in 3D on Directv's n3d .

Source. Hoping someone has captured the 3d broadcast?...

  2. About time! Great example of ol' Aus Rock n' Roll!

While on the topic, they supported Guns out here in '93, anyone have, or know if their set was recorded? Or what the setlist was at least?...

  3. If only one of these models has the humor to rock up with a Slash shirt on! That would help blur the lines between an Axl decision, and a promoter's idea of what's right even further! Words like farcical, egocentrism, inferiority complex, shameless, ephebophilia and pathetic should all be worked into this comment somehow, but i'm so quickly losing interest in what happens in the Gn'R world (after 20+ years) Still gotta give credit for what the name has achieved as a whole, but what they are doing now, and have done lately does not earn them any respect as a band, and is starting to taint them personally, as evidenced by bumbles need to explain and clarify himself to his own fans and family. Really quite sad Axl, take a step back from yourself, and look at what you've become, and what you're doing to destroy the legacy that was once 'The Most Dangerous Band in the World' Must be time to replace the word dangerous, with insecure, unstable or disrespectful imo.

  4. Soooo ... has anything happened by now? I've just checked the setlists for the Moscow shows, but they are identical with the US tour. Maybe they talked about May 11 NEXT year?!?

They either failed to deliver as promised or they meant new music that the Moscow audience hadn't heard live before.

Finally, the right answer! People read too much into those posts, and interpret into the words they want to hear, only to then be disappointed because it didn't plan out the way they dreamed.

The only way to tolerate this band is to expect nothing until after it's happened, ortherwise you'll all go .

  5. I went out of my way to see them in 2010, time off work, and flew me and the partner interstate, I've been a fan since the late eighties, she not so much... BUT, NO. I would not do it again, not that it wasn't a great show at the time, but if there's nothing new, i'm not really that interested anymore, plenty of good, local artists touring the country all the time, that if you give half a chance, you'll also have a great experience and hear some new music.. If they were coming close to me though, I guess I'd go though, just because it's GnR. so, I don't really blame people for continuing to go, even if it lasts all this decade, (which it might), because it is what it is, a f*king good night out no matter if you've read or heard the setlist a hundred times before, but to see some consumer backlash, a bit of supply and demand at its finest, should only be a good thing to inspire them to do something collectively, get some recognition for what they are now, and not who they have been, or what they have done before. Until that happens, I think they are running with the premise of an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" formula that, well, until it breaks...

  6. Axl rose had a contest to give away his house in the early 90s.

Would you believe I found the name of the person who won this contest - it was a young girl around early 20s who wasn't sure what she was going to do with it. No details on the party etc.

Um, No. Well, not without a cite anyway! Who is she?...

  7. The first time Guns N’ Roses ever saw themselves featured in a Pandora Peroxide strip, was backstage at The Apollo in Manchester. That night onstage, Axl declared, “Hey, check out the latest Kerrang! - we made Pandora! This next song is dedicated to her”. To which, they played ‘Sweet Child Of Mine’. In attendance and reviewing, was then K! scribe, Malcolm Dome, who exclaimed at the time, “I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing!”.

    Source!

Not sure which one that was, but this has to be the funniest imo!

  8. This would not be surprising, as we know Axl copied his early look from Mike Monroe... and the snake dance was copied from Richard Black.

I was oblivious to the Richard Black thing, but upon watching this clip, it does become rather obvious...

Not a bad tune really either, may have to look into this... rock3

  11. Well hows about one of our intrepid members stream it from their cellphone to a private members-only site?

I'd paypal someone 5 bucks to do that.

We should ask Steven. He wants to do something for the fans, here's a chance.

Works out well, Im sure he needs all the cash he can get still...
