"First of all none of the band members had anything to do with writing the song Patience. I created the song live on stage in Tok, Alaska in 1984 when I filled in for George Lynch on lead guitar for Dokken. It was done as the second of two encores. An encore which I performed solo. So Guns n Roses beware... you will be sued

"My Name is Marc ..(full name listed on website).. and I created Patience Live on stage in Tok Alaska when I filled in for George Lynch when he was lead guitarist for the band Dokken in 1984. It was an unsheduled stop on the Tooth and Nail tour. It was at a bar the name of which I no longer recall. Anyone who has the ability to get in touch with Don Dokken directly can prove what I'm saying."

Damn this guy is looking for attention.... You can even see his house if you zoom in on Google Maps, because he left his freaking location on a Google Profile.

Marc, if you really wrote the song, and truly deserve royalties, I wish you the best of luck. However, if you are as talented as you suggest, maybe you should write more songs and sell the rights to them, or sell the rights to songs you can prove you have written over time. I wish that just knowing your creations made a difference was good enough. And if you are lying - or exaggerating the truth at all - I hope you get what you deserve for that as well. I can't stand free-loaders.

  2. I doubt that RTB cost 10mil, but I'm sure his involvement was expensive. My guess is that he tried to take the songs to a different place, just like any producer would - trying to make his mark. Tommy may have hinted that RTB's work on this album wasn't what GNR wanted, but I would bet heavily that any mix he created would be worth hearing. Not saying that the released tunes aren't great, but saying that RTB doesn't drop turds on the public very often. He knows what he is doing. If that happens to interfere with the artist's vision..... well, that's not how it should be. But we may have missed out on something extraordinary also.

  3. very cool story, subtle hint from robin wonder if Axl figured out the reference, cheers!

I wonder if Robin actually knew the back-story, or if he just chose that piece for his solo for other reasons. If he really did know the history of Sibelius, and was making a subtle hint to Axl, that would be incredibly deep and impressive. Great find and thoughts, siliconmessiah! Hopefully Axl doesn't burn anything.

  4. It is these sociopaths (aka "fans") that could really benefit from some informed conversation and open dialogue - not always the most gracious of hosts, but always willing to listen and support when truth is shared. Ron is appreciated by the vast majority of GNR fans. Don't let the occasional prick get to you.

  5. Damn Manets, that was a great share! Alexandresa did an amazing job with the videos. Fabiana makes me want to get back on a plane to Brasil. If I can remember how to ask her in Portuguese, I'll go to Alexandresa's YT and ask what program she used to put this thing together - I really liked some of her edits and effects. Also, if you know a place to download a high quality version of this vid, let me know. I'd like to put it on a DVD!

  6. tange, great post. And I agree with the ties that bind. Most of the people here are half my age, and because of that I only post when I'm pissed off or when Dexter shows up, but I still feel a connection.

And good points about Catcher, wasted. I always got the feeling that Catcher was a "gift" to the hardcore fans - that it was not on the intended tracklisting - that it was a last second addition, and changed the order of the songs. Axl gave that one to the fanbase, because of demand. He knew it was wanted. All indications were for 13 songs, not 14. I'd bet somebody else's sack that he added that for you and me at the last minute.

  7. Do some of you guys just like to see that you posted something? Why don't you go help your buddy Andre score some fake leaks and let this fake insider say whatever they want to say. Some of us enjoy reading this over "Cool Story Bro" anyway. Chan is calling for you, seriously. Hell, you guys are allowed to say whatever you want, over and over, in exactly the same way, and on multiple forums.... I think youthinkso should be permitted to say whatever they want also.

  8. Thanks Dex. I can't wait to see it.

Could you enlighten us on some of the other titles may have been attached to songs released on CD? I wonder about "Shackler's" maybe being something once called "Zodiac", and possibly "Scraped" also once being called "Atlas Shrugged" - "world on top of me".... There must be some other titles we can stop chucking at each other, as far as songs that we may hear on a future album. Scraped is underrated IMO. That song kicks my ass.
